Prolec GE Internacional S de R.L. de C.V., a billion dollar Transformer manufacturing company based out of Monterrey, Mexico is a Joint Venture of Xignux a Mexican industrial consortium comprising of Cables, Transformers and Food based in Monterrey, Mexico and General Electric Company a diversified global infrastructure, finance and media company. As part of expanding its foot print globally and providing a foundation for continuing growth, Prolec GE acquired majority stake of 74.35% in Indo Tech in May 09. Under the management of Prolec GE, Indo Tech is poised to scale greater heights both in the domestic and international market.

Prolec GE acquired majority stake of 74.35% in Indo Tech in May 09. IndoTech's fourth state-of-the-art manufacturing unit (For EHV transformers) at Kancheepuram was inaugurated by Thiru S. Machendranathan I.A.S Chairman, TNEB on Friday, February 8, 2008 Currently manufacturing largest mobile transformer of 60MVA capacity. Obtained approval as a supplier of 132KV Power transformer for Power Grid Corporation of India Limited.

MAIN PRODUCTS
Distribution Transformers Indo Tech manufactures a range of Distribution Transformerssuitable for use in utilities and [Link] Transformers ranging between 100KVA /11KV & 3150KVA/33KV with various options and features are custommade as per customers requirement. These transformers are manufactured at our facilities located at Palakkad in Kerala and Thirumazhisai in Chennai.

Furnace Transformers Upto 15MVA and 50 kilo amps current rating for Arc Furnace and induction furnace in service. Mobile Transformers INDO TECH have exported mainly to North American Continent Mobile Substation Transformers upto 60MVA, voltage upto 220KV of compact design with nomex insulation and unit coolers. Notable for its compact design. Open Ventilated Dry Type Transformers Indo Tech manufactures Open Ventilated Dry Type Transformers in technical tie-up with E. I. Dupont. Its dedicated facility for manufacturing OVD Transformers is located at Thirumazhisai. These transformers are environmental friendly, maintenance free, very safe, with low operating cost & with overloading capability. Indo Tech manufactures OVD Transformers between 100KVA/11KV & 2500KVA/33KV Class. Power Transformers Indo Tech manufactures a range of Power Transformersbetween 5MVA/33KV to 315MVA/400KV including two winding, three winding and auto transformers. The medium sized Power Transformers are manufactured at the Thirumazhisai facility and the Extra High Voltage (EHV) Transformers are manufactured at its state-of-the-art facility located at Kancheepuram. These transformers are manufactured under sterile conditions and with the best available materials and processes.
