My assignment was to create a Google classroom.

I did my google
classroom in 3rd grade science class.

This is my google classroom page, and the theme I choose represents that
the students are investigative and have fun while doing science.

I posted announcements to my page and they both were to remind students of


something. The first one was to remind the student when assignments listed are
done and the other about an upcoming class group project I have planned and
that the material for it has been posted.

I created two topics in my google classroom. The topics I choose are HomeWork
and Experiments. I choose homework because I feel that it is good for the student
to see their upcoming homework assignments and see their due dates as well.
That way they dont always ask me about due dates and what an assignment is.
The reason I choose experiments is because science is all about experiments and
most of science is based on articles and research so this way I am able to post the
online material for them and tell them what the experiment is about.

In the first topic labeled Homework I added an assignment called scholastic


article which is an article about our lesson which is fossils. I passed out the article
during class and their assignment is to read it and answer the questions.
I also created a quiz for the homework section. The quiz is about fossils and is
based on the scholastic article the student read and answered questions about.
This quiz will truly show me if the student read the article like I asked them to.
The 5 questions for the quiz are as follows.
For the second topic labeled Experiments I posted two topics as well one being a
metreal page for the upcoming group assignment about fossils. The page has 3
links, one a link to an article that shows different types of fossils that they will
analyze , another a link to an article explaining fossils and another to the link to
the rubric and the instructions.
Another thing I added to the Experiment section was a question. The question I
added is related to the experiment and can be answered after they complete the
experiment. If they are able to answer the question this shows me that they
understood the experiment and are ready to move on.
