1- Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Means different people will find different things beautiful and that the
differences of opinion don't matter greatly.

2- Beggars can't be choosers.

Means that people who are in great need must accept any help that is
offered, even if it is not a complete solution to their problems

3- Better a live coward than a dead hero.

Run a way and live to fight another day."

4- Birds of a feather flock together.

means "birds of the same type". The whole proverb means that people of the
same type or sort stay together. They don't mix with people of another type

5- Don't bit the hand that feeds you.

We have been your best customers for years. How could you suddenly treat us
so rudely? You should never bite the hand that feeds you.

6- The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

use this proverb to say that the things other people have or their situations
always look better than your own, even when they are not really so

7- A leopard cannot change its spots.

means that people cannot change basic aspects of their character, especially
negative ones

8- Rome wasn't built in a day.

All things take time to create. And great things like the city of Rome take a very
long time. So we shouldn't expect to accomplish something or achieve
success immediately

9- The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Even though we may want to say "No" to temptation (doing something bad),
our body may be unable to resist it."

10- Strike while the iron is hot.

seize the opportunity! When we have the chance to do something, we should


do it immediately. Otherwise it will be too late
