The 'Key' image feature allows users to designate specific images within a study as 'Key' images, marked with a blue bounding box. These can easily be reviewed by selecting ‘View Key Images’ from the view options. This feature is significant as it enables the quick identification and retrieval of clinically relevant images, enhancing efficiency and focus during case review .
The 'Cine' view function in Ambra enhances the viewing experience by enabling users to view images as a movie. It uses HTML5 video technology to display multi-frame studies, such as ultrasound (US) studies, at actual frames per second, providing a dynamic and continuous representation of the series .
In the Ambra Viewer, users can view different series by clicking or dragging-and-dropping from the thumbnails at the bottom of the screen; the active series is highlighted in blue. The Viewer Main Toolbar includes tools like Layout for displaying multiple series, Scroll for navigating through a study's images, and Window Level for adjusting contrast settings. Additional tools include Annotate for toggling annotation visibility, Probe for reading Hounsfield values (in CTs), and 3D Sub-Toolbar for 3D visualization .
The 'Settings' editor in Ambra allows users to customize their viewing experience by setting default layouts, selecting default mouse tools, adjusting thumbnails positions, configuring toolbar buttons by modality, determining default cine speed by modality, and selecting window level presets. This flexibility enhances workflow efficiency by tailoring the interface to the specific needs and preferences of users .
Ambra users can collaborate with other clinicians using the 'Meet' feature, which starts a live collaborative meeting with other DG users. This facilitates real-time communication and is particularly useful for discussing images and studies collectively .
Within Ambra, users can manage study metadata by using the ‘Export’ feature which allows them to view the study metadata in a new browser tab. This provides comprehensive details for each study and can be accessed directly through the 'Export' function on the toolbar .
Users can enhance the contrast of an image locally in Ambra by using the 'Enhance' filter, which provides an alternative to the global window/level contrast adjustment. This functionality is significant for clinical interpretation as it allows for targeted contrast enhancements that can emphasize critical details without affecting the entire image, improving diagnostic accuracy .
To share a study with Health Images using Ambra, locate the study, check the box next to the patient's name, and select 'Share' from the 'Actions' dropdown menu. Then, in the pop-up window, click on the 'Organization' tab, check the box next to Health Images, and click ‘Share Studies’. This integration simplifies the sharing of patient data across platforms, enhancing efficiency and collaboration .
The 'Record (Audio)' feature in Ambra permits users to create audio recordings, saved as WAV files, which can accompany studies providing verbal notes or findings. The 'Record (Script)' feature captures screen activities and audio input, creating video records saved as study attachments. These tools are invaluable for education and documentation, enabling detailed capturing of procedural narratives and dynamic interactions with the imaging data, facilitating deeper learning and comprehensive case review .
