INSTRUCTION: In not less than 350 words, reflect on how the

course Critical Reading, Writing and Thinking  changed your way of


thinking when reading texts so far. Emphasize the challenges that you
have been facing.

Writing about a subject every day also pulls you closer to it. Writing about a
major, complex problem or a study topic every day, for example, keeps the subject
fresh in your mind. Each day, by thinking it out on screen, you get closer to solving the
problem or researching the topic.
Since an individual must clearly articulate ideas and set out arguments in such
a way that cultivates higher order thinking, writing helps the thinking process and adds
to the development of critical thinking skills. Writers have the opportunity to express all
of their ideas and describe how they would solve difficult problems while responding to
complex situations. This is a demonstration of critical thinking.
Writing helps with mental learning as well. Writing's "recursive and reflective
nature contributes to student learning," according to studies, and writing helps pupils
think. Writing in various areas encourages critical thinking by encouraging analytical
thinking on specific topics.
To solve challenges that satisfy their aims, we must think critically. Every
decision we make has a goal or purpose, and figuring out what that goal or purpose is,
what we genuinely want out of it, provides us a place to start. It also provides you a
better overall sense of the situation. Let's imagine you're at work and need to address a
problem. Consider how your best friend, partner, or sibling might address the situation.
Consider how your manager could tackle the situation.
You must consider the potential repercussions of each of your alternatives and
choose the one that helps you the most while minimizing the bad effects on others. To
address challenges, critical thinking demands you to let go of your convictions at times.
Reluctance to study, research, or adopt new beliefs will simply hold you back and will
have no bearing on your ability to think critically. It's quite acceptable to make
mistakes, and we all do so.
It's fantastic to be able to see the big picture, but it's even better to be able to
break things down into smaller chunks. Critical thinking is a difficult skill to master. It's
sometimes necessary to let go of old beliefs and experiment with new ones. It can be
difficult at times, but if done correctly, it will be well worth it!
