This is the current situation of the sea here in Uyong, Labrador,

Pangasinan. This body of water remain unpolluted for many years due to
the locality’s care. There are several marine lives that were found living in
this location. Some of these are the rough-toothed dolphin (Steno
bredanensis). They were once lived here but migrated in a different place.
Some of them were found stranded near coast lines. Fishermen were
thankful due to its rich diversity. However, if we hadn’t taken care of it, this
might cause severe damage in the ecosystem. Water pollution is one good
example of this.
Water Pollution refers to the contamination of water bodies and
underground resources of water by any of the several human activities or
natural causes. Human activities like, urbanization, industrialization,
deforestation, waste disposal, landfills are primarily responsible for water
pollution. The main problem caused by water pollution is that it kills
organisms that depend on these water bodies. Dead fish, crabs, birds and
seagulls, dolphins, and many other animals often wind up on beaches,
killed by pollutants in their habitat. Ecosystems can be severely changed or
destroyed by water pollution. Eventually, humans are affected by this process
too. People can get diseases such as hepatitis by eating seafood that has
been contaminated. In many poor regions, there is frequently an outbreak of
cholera and diseases as a result of poor drinking water treatment from
contaminated waters.
Water is an essential natural resource for the life of all living things.
Any irresponsible behavior in the part of humanity affects all the other
beneficiaries. Consequently, there is a need to protect water bodies from
deliberate pollution. Water pollution must be prevented if we want the earth
to be green, healthy and filled with life.
