systems modeling

UNIT III : Industrial Design 12 periods

Need for industrial design – Industrial design process – quality of industrial design; Design for
Manufacturing – design for assembly – design for environment – Robust design

UNIT IV : Economics of Product development 10 periods

Elements of Economic analysis – Economic analysis process – Base-case financial model –


Sensitivity analysis – qualitative analysis
Managing Projects
Understanding tasks – Project planning – Schedule – budget – risk plan – project execution –
evaluation.
