Topic: Pandemic Experience

Title: Corona: A Global Curse

Introduction:

Corona Virus spread like wildfire all over the world. It has led to loss of jobs, killed millions of people,
and made us suffer in this what we call new normal. Life became harder especially for our dear frontliners
who sacrifice their lives to save lives of other people. To be honest, when the pandemic started,
everything seemed alright for me because I thought we could get rid of it right away, but sadly, it was the
other way around. And until now, this global pandemic still feels like a fever dream.

I am one of those people who were greatly affected by the said virus. It made me undergo so much pain,
stress and agony. However, COVID-19 also brought positive effects to me and family. And also, because
of quarantine, I got to know myself better. Nevertheless, in this case, I can say that my studies is the thing
that has been affected the most.

Body:

As a student, I totally feel how hard it is to live during this pandemic especially because face-to-face
classes are not yet allowed for safety purposes. Right now, San Sebastian College-Recoletos uses online
class as an alternative for face-to-face classes, and I am more pressured since it feels way harder. I am
also one of those students who doesn't have enough belongings for online classes, that is why I get
stressed out more often. This is because I am aware that there are things that I could still do in class but
could not due to lack of equipment. Nonetheless, I promise myself that I will study harder until I become
that wonderful person that I am aspired to meet, and prove that this pandemic is not a hindrance to my
success.

Nonetheless, our life has its own positive and negative sides. For me, this global pandemic made me feel
happier as I get to bond with my family most of the time. Aside from that, I also met a lot of friends
online and those friends make me feel better whenever I feel down. And of course, I am kind of thankful
that quarantine happened because I discovered Stray Kids, a KPop group which became one of my
inspirations and my source of happiness. My pandemic experience isn't perfect, but I am glad to have
them throughout this journey.

Conclusion:

Despite all these happenings in the middle of this pandemic, I still believe that after the rain comes a
rainbow, and that there is a light at the end of a tunnel. Aside from those, stars also shine the brightest
during the darkest night. Hopefully, we'll be able to bring back our pre-COVID life as soon as possible.
We, humans, must keep on going. As for me, I will never stop fighting until we defeat our invisible
opponent known as the Corona Virus Disease.
