Article V
The Grand Master is the highest spiritual authority and the sovereign of the Order, consequently his
final decisions can not be overturned by any collegial vote.
The office and the title of Grand Master is for life and he can not be removed for any reason, as he
is the Sovereign of the Order.
The betrayal of the Grand Master is punished by direct expulsion with the aggravating
circumstance of dishonor.
The General Secretary is delegated with limited discretion in the management of the association, in
the institutional and bureaucratic field and is the only figure, together with the Grand Master, who
can make agreements with third parties on behalf of the Order or who can express himself officially
to the public in the name of the Priory of Sion.
It may happen that sometimes the Grand Master is also the General Secretary.
The Prieuré de Sion adopts, as its registered office, the domicile of the General Secretary, which is
elected by the Arch of the Thirteen Rose-Croix which is composed by an elected the Doge, eight
illustrious Constables, regularly elected, the three Sénéchaux and the Grand Master.
In the Order there can be a maximum of three Sénéchaux, who, together with the Grand Master,
forms the Supreme and Mystic Quadrumvirate Sovereign and enlightened of the Priory of Sion.
A Doge can be regent of more than one region, up to a nation.
A Sénéschal can be regent of one or more nations at the same time.
The Grand Master is obviously the regent for all countries.
As a result, the mandates are subject to a hierarchical order.
Article VI
The Prieuré de Sion has no limits in recruiting new Members and it is open to all adult persons who
recognize its aims and accept the obligations specified in this present constitution. Members are
admitted without regard to sex, race, philosophical, religious or political ideas.
Articolo VII
Once the Candidacy is accepted, the Novice Member will stay on trial till the attainment of the
First Degree. During this period, he/she will be valued under any aspect, by the members already

situation, in order to delineate his/her moral quality.
Article VIII
The Prieuré de Sion – Ordre de la Rose-Croix Véritas O.D.L.R.C.V. is an initiatory Order which is
coordinated in a Unified Rite, therefore the members of the Prieuré de Sion - Ordre de la Rose-
Croix Véritas O.D.L.R.C.V. undertake to use only the rituals that are the result of the historical
reform of 2017 and accept not having, either the faculty, nor the power, nor now, nor in the future,
to modify them in any way and at the same time they assume the duty to continue to transmit them
exactly how they received them.

the novitiate, which lasts an average of 4 or 5 months attending one of our "Cercle Sigebert IV".

signed by the Grand Master.
Article X
The annual fee is mandatory for all Members, even those followed at distance, through the
educational program of the Order. The delay of payment of the fee for over a month, involves the
expulsion.
Only by the Grand Master's direct dispensation, are exempt from the payment of the annual
Capitation Fee, members who contribute to the good of the Order through their work and their
professional skills.
Article XI
The Chapter is the meeting formed by the members of the Order and can be regional (Grand
Regional Chapter), national (Grand National Chapter), european (Grand European Chapter),
international (Grand World Chapter).
At the local level, the Chapter is the meeting of at least three Brothers and/or Sisters.
The male and female Degrees can sometimes differ, but are equated, exactly as indicated by the
ritual itself.
The Commandery is instead the meeting of at least 7 Brothers and/or Sisters. The Commandery to
exist must be installed and the one who governs the Commandery is the Commander and may not
have a rank lower than that of Chevalier Grand Commandeur consacrée à l'Ordre du Lys / Dame
consacrée à l'Ordre du Lys et à l'Ordre de Sion.
If the meeting takes place in a local Chapter, the Commander will be the Chevalier / Dame with the
highest rank, if the meeting takes place in a Commandery, the Commander is the Chevalier / Dame
regularly installed.
Whether the meeting takes place in the Grand Regional Chapter, in the Grand National Chapter or
in the Grand World Chapter, the place where the meeting will take place is called Temple and the
work is directed by a Commander who is the highest ranking official among those present; if the
Chapter is regional, it will be the Provincial Master, if the Chapter is national, it will be the
National Regent, if is the Grand World Chapter, it will be the Grand Master.
The Commander, if of the Chapter, may have a Degree not inferior to the 4th (Chevalier de l'Ordre
du Lys et de l'Ordre de Sion / Dame du Lac), if he is in the Commendery he can not have a Degree
inferior to the 5th (Chevalier Grand Commandeur consecrée à l'Ordre du Lys / Dame consecrée à
l'Ordre du Lys et à l'Ordre de Sion). Depending on the circumstances and the meeting, the
Sainte Marie Madeleine de Béthanie, a Constable, a Doge / a Dogaresse, a Sénéschal, if not the
Grand Master himself.
The Commander of a Commandery, if in charge of the regional jurisdiction, assumes the role of
Provincial Master (Magister Provincialis).
During the Chapter meeting, the Commander will be called by his rank if it will be superior to
Grand Commandeur de l'Ordre de Sion et de l'Ordre du Lys / Dame consacrée à Sainte Marie
Madeleine de Béthanie or he will be called Provincial Master or National Regent if this is his role
and always if his rank is not superior to Grand Commandeur de l'Ordre de Sion et de l'Ordre du
Lys / Dame consacrée à Sainte Marie Madeleine de Béthanie.
The Commander is assisted by the other two Main Officers, the Chaplain who will sit to the right of
the Commander and the Marshal who will instead sit on his left; they are the three lights of the
Temple, hence the three chief Officers. They represent Spirit, Soul and Mind.
The Commander is the Pneuma of the Temple, the Chaplain is the Psyché and the Marshal the
mind.
There are also the three assistants of the Officers, in the functions and role of the Blacksmith
(Grand Blacksmith in the case of a Regional Grand Chapter or superior), the Master of
Ceremonies (Regional, National or World Master of Ceremonies in the case of a Regional Grand
Chapter or superior) and the Guardian of the Temple ( Grand Guardian of the Temple, in the case
of a Regional Grand Chapter or superior).
This is followed by the Secretary (Regional Secretary in the case of a Regional Grand Chapter or
Grand National Secretary in the case of a National or Superior Chapter) and the Orator (Grand
Orator in the case of a Regional or Grand Regional Chapter).
It is easy to notice that although there are different structural convergences with the ancient
Templar organization to which the Priory of Sion was linked, the general structure of the Order is
however very different and altogether more streamlined. This is due to the fact that following the
legendary cut of the Elm, the Priory of Sion, split from the Templar Order, has made a
metamorphosis that has initiated it to that net transformation that made it the Order of Chivalry
and initiation, for the reason of being esoteric and symbolic, which has arrived today.
Article XII
The figure responsible for gathering the membership fees, of which in this case the annual
Capitations, the associative contributions for the Degree passages and the contributions for the
Initiations, is the Treasurer.
The Treasurer may be in charge of a Cercle Sigebert IV, a Chapter or a Commandery if his mandate
is local. If his mandate is regional, he will be the Grand Regional Treasurer, if the mandate is
national, will be the Grand National Treasurer, if the mandate is European, he will be the Grand
European Treasurer, if the mandate is international and related to all jurisdictions , then it will be
the Grand World Treasurer.
The Treasurer must always be able to present the accounting of his jurisdiction during the ritual
meeting regarding his own jurisdiction, be it the local, regional, national, european or related to
the world Chapter. The accounting must be presented illustrating the expenses, the incomes and the
balance. Eventually there will be mentioned expenses and incomes of a significant nature or entity
for the Order with a brief mention during the Chapter.
More complex budget issues are discussed in the assembly, strictly outside the works.
Article XIII
A Grand Regional Treasurer can accept, if proposed, to take care of the budgets and raise funds for
more than one region, subject to regular authorization by the General Secretariat, in acceptance of
a request issued by the Secretariats of the regions concerned.
Article XIV
The Secretary may exercise his office at a Cercle Sigebert IV, at a Chapter or at a Commandery, if
his mandate is local. If his mandate is regional, he will be Regional Secretary, if the mandate is
national, will be the Grand National Secretary, if the mandate is European, he will be the Grand
Secretary of Europe, if the mandate is international and relative to all jurisdictions, then he will be
the General Secretary.
The Secretary General must send communications to the Grand National Secretary of each country,
who in turn will pass the communications to the Regional Secretaries, who will take care to have
them receive the local Secretaries of each group.
The Grand Secretary of Europe will forward the communnications of the General Secretary to all
the Secretariats of the european nations.
Communications for the Cercle Sigebert IV and those for the Prieuré de Sion differ for content and
nature most of the time, while at other times they can be unified.
Article XV
The Priory of Sion is endowed with a Priory Tribunal, in the functions of Court of Honor, in which
disputes are handled.
The Priory Tribunal may have local, regional, national or world jurisdiction.

the person of the Commander, three judges elected by the Council and of a Degree not inferior to
the 5°, and a defender. In the event the Commandery does not have members in possession of the
necessary requisites, the place of judgment will be elected in the nearest Commandery, which
members can satisfy the requested requisites.
Except for the most serious and / or incompatible with conciliar measures, it is obligatory that
every dispute must first be submitted to the Blacksmith, who will try to find a solution in a good-
natured way among the Brothers/Sisters involved in the dispute, or between the Brothers/Sisters
and the Commandery, or between the Brothers/Sisters and the Order, if these are the injured
parties.
The Priory Tribunal, which meets in the regional jurisdiction, must be presided over by a
Provincial Master with the right to vote that is worth double, and is made up of three judges elected
by the Council of the Commandery where the litigation took place. If the Priory Tribunal meets in
national jurisdiction, it must be presided over by the National Regent with the right to vote that is
worth double, by seven judges elected by the Council of the Commandery where the litigation took
place and by a defender. If the Commandery does not have members in possession of the necessary
requisites, the place of judgment will be elected in the nearest Commandery, which members can
meet the requisites requested. If the Priory Tribunal meets in world jurisdiction, it must be presided
over by the Grand Master with the right to vote that is worth double, together with the remaining
