Globalization contains economic globalization, political globalization, cultural globalization,

globalization and technology, social globalization, military globalization, environmental

globalization, and homogeneity and heterogeneity. Globalization means the growing
interdependence of the world's economies, cultures, and populations, brought about by cross-
border trade in goods and services, technology, and flows of investment, people, and
information. Countries have built economic partnerships to facilitate these movements over
many centuries. (Autor, David H., David Dorn, and Gordon H. Hanson. 2016.) Globalization
means changes over the years. Economic globalization refers to the increasing interdependence
of world economies as the growing scale of cross-border trade of commodities and services, the
flow of international capital, and the rapid spread of technologies (Gao Shangquan). It also refers
to marketing and the exchange of resources. Political globalization means political cooperation
between other countries. The development and growing influence of international organizations
such as the UN or WHO means governmental action takes place at an international level.
Cultural globalization refers to the interpenetration of cultures which, as a consequence, means
nations adopt principles, beliefs, and costumes of other countries, losing their unique culture to a
distinctive, globalized supra-culture. Technological globalization is the phenomenon by which
millions of people have interconnected thanks to the power of the digital world via platforms
such as Facebook, Instagram, Skype, or Youtube. Social globalisation refers to sharing ideas and
information between and through different countries. Military globalization is the increase of
range within which military power can be projected through the progress of military organization
and technology and the increasing strategic interrelation first of regional systems and later of the
global system. Environmental globalization refers to the internationally harmonized procedures
and ordinances regarding environmental protection. Homogeneity and heterogeneity are used to
describe the uniformity and regularity in spatial distribution of geomaterial properties in natural
subsurface systems. Homogeneity means spatially uniform-distributed properties. In natural
systems, geological media are almost always heterogeneous. (Dr. Li Li, of Pennsylvania State
University)
