know about the importance of vegetation in the

 Introduction

Adopting plants connects nature to us and us to nature,

and the effects of this relationship are only beneficial.
Trees cleanse the climate by absorbing carbon dioxide
from the environment and releasing oxygen. The trees
cool the environment through their leaves by absorbing
the sun heat. Thus, there occurs cooling in the
atmosphere. The trees provide shades to houses and
streets.
Trees clean the air by absorbing harmful chemicals
such as nitrogen oxide and removing dust particles from
the air by absorbing them in their leaves. Another
importance of planting trees is that they save the water
from impurity. Trees stop water pollution by breaking
the direct fall of rainfall to the ground. Through trees,
we make furniture and produce materials like books and
papers. Trees help to relax and to reduce blood
pressure. Different species of trees also relax the mood
of people.
Growing plants that help you feed yourself is an
environmentally sustainable and healthy alternative to
processed foods. Growing and planting plants is a
restorative process that allows you to create your own
fresh source of food that reduces trips to grocery stores
and one’s contribution to environmentally degrading
agricultural techniques. Negative agricultural practices
contribute to climate change, pollution, waste and soil
degradation as food is being largely produced at hand
with overgrazing and harsh chemical fertilizers and
pesticides. Moving towards more sustainable ways of
eating and growing foods goes beyond the benefits of
eating healthy but also greatly contributes to overall
environmental sustainability.
Importance Of Adopting a Plant:

Planting trees/saplings is the ideal approach to support

nature. It additionally helps other living species,
including people, in many ways. Trees give us oxygen,
food, shelter, and many more. They are natural air
filters and noise safeguards. Trees are the earth’s life
supportive network. They support and are essential for
life on earth. Aside from giving oxygen, trees
additionally work as common safeguards of noise
pollution. The forests develop naturally. But today,
forests are chopped down at a rate more noteworthy
than they could develop. This causes a sort of
irregularity, wherein relatively few trees are left to meet
our oxygen supply and different requirements. Trees
are a source of shelter and nourishment for many
species, reptiles, and birds. Any place a tree is planted it
gives another lease of life to these species. Trees
additionally cause rain and prevent floods.
 Problem Identification and the
Cause of the Problem

➢ Narrow range of species base of seedlings.

➢ High reliance on exotic species.

➢ Industry lack of knowledge in seedling

production.

➢ Lack of skills in the nursery sector, Lack of

markets and profitability.

➢ Lack of seed orchards.

➢ Lack of a well Established and efficient seedling

pathway Unavailability of seed, especially of
indigenous species (including dipterocarps).

➢ institutions and the private sector Lack of

technology transfer to nurseries.

➢ Lack of training facilities.

➢ Difficulties in producing seedlings of native

species (obtaining seed, germinating, propagating

➢ Minimization of product delays. Lesser work-in-

progress and minimum manufacturing cycle time.
Efficient utilization of available space. Easy
supervision and better production control.

➢ The ultimate aim of plant breeding is to improve

the yield of economic produce. It may be grain
yield, fodder yield, fibre yield, tuber yield, cane
yield or oil yield depending upon the crop species.
Improvement in yield can be achieved either by
evolving high yielding varieties or hybrids.

➢ To establish nurseries both at public & private

sector for quality planting materials.

➢ To transfer technologies from Lab to Land.

➢ To ensure good Soil health.

➢ To augment Market & marketing facilities.

➢ To ensure timely implementation of schemes
through Monitoring & Evaluation.

➢ To make efficient functioning of the RFD system.

➢ To improve internal efficiency/ responsiveness/

service delivery of the department.

➢ Implementing calamity relief programme.

➢ Learn how to improve conditions for plants using

natural methods.

➢ Have a good understanding of soil structure and its

importance.

➢ Find ailing and healthy plants, describe them and

note differences.

➢ Encourage everyone to acquire attitudes of

cooperation, responsibility, self-esteem and self-
confidence, motivation and the value of work.
 Various Steps taken to achieve the
objectives

1. Get the right tree in the right place and ensure

quality over quantity. This approach may require more
initial investment per tree, but will yield larger-
growing, healthier, long-lived trees that provide
environmental, social and health benefits.

2. Prioritize education, training and community

engagement.

➢ Support Adopt-a-Tree programs that engage

citizens in care of public trees.

➢ Provide education and training for private property

owners/managers as an integral part of all planting
initiatives.

➢ Support efforts of neighbourhood tree groups and

Friends of Parks groups.

➢ Engage youth.
3. Track, monitor and report on the survival and health
of all trees planted. Share success stories and lessons
learned in order to inspire and continually improve
planting efforts.

4. Expand the free city street tree program to include

public and non-profit agencies such as Toronto
Community Housing, libraries, senior centres, churches,
etc. Train and support tree stewards in each recipient
community.

5. Work in partnership with non-profit organization to

expand planting programs that have demonstrated past
success.

Steps For Tree Planting:

➢ Cleaning the site.
➢ Digging a hole.
➢ Obtaining the plant.
➢ Watering the seedling.
➢ Removing the plant from the pot.
➢ Placing the plant in the hole.
➢ Covering the roots with soil.
➢ Gently packing the soil around the tree.
➢ Watering the plant in its new home.
Planning the Goal:
1) The goal is to plant trees and take care of existing
trees during this summer holidays.
2) And plant minimum 20 trees of house hold needed
plants which can be used for medical purpose and
cooking like: curry leaves, onions, turmeric, neem, etc.
3) The obstacles are:
i) Money issue to buy plants
ii) Lack of man power.
iii) Land needed for this.
iv) Pesticides needed to keep plant away from insects.
v) High rich soil now a days we cannot able to find pure
high rich soil because of pollutants , plastics, heavy use
of pesticides.
4) Planning how to do these in time.
i) Spending minimum 2hrs daily on taking care of
plants and watering plants.
ii) Watering every plant.
iii) Cutting unwanted leaves.
iv) Arranging the stems in a proper way.
v) Cleaning the area every day.
5) Making a chart about the growth of plants and time
taking to grow.
6) Giving speeches to the neighbours importance of
plants and trees making them also to plant more and
more by them also.
7) By requesting NGO’s to supply some plants and
writing letter to municipality commissioner about
planting trees in our locality.
8) Asking my friends some donations for this and and
also asking extra pocket money from parents for these
kinds of works they will give money.

• Encourage your neighbours to plant trees.

• Volunteer with local organizations that plant

trees and restore degraded ecosystems.

• Donate to tree-planting efforts around the world

 Effectiveness of the Project

The foremost common goals of these planting trees

and Awareness program are:

• increase in aid awareness.

• Even though you may own the trees on your

property your neighbours may benefit from
them as well.

• Through careful planning trees can be an

asset to your entire community.

• Tree lined streets have a traffic calming

effect, traffic moves more slowly and safely.

• Trees can be placed to screen unwanted

views or noise from busy highways.

• Trees n complement the architecture or

design of buildings or entire neighbourhood.

• Gardening- The activity of gardening is

infused in students to make them
 understand the importance of planting and
gardening. It is the best way to nurture the
feeling of cooperation, teamwork, focus and
patience enhancing social skills.

• Plantation- Plantation is best way to save

environment. Awareness in this connection is
important and efforts required creating in
mass. Focus of students for promotion of
plantation is needed to make regular activity
of students.

• Growth of Forest Cover Leads to Growth in

Economy- Trees are an indispensable part of
our lives because they provide us with so
many things that are essential for us.
Everything, right from rubber, wood and
paper to fruits and vegetables is provided to us
by trees. Without trees, we would not have
houses and other buildings, paper to write on,
or even food. All these products that we
obtain from trees are bought and sold and play
a major role in the domestic as well as the
international economy. Therefore, it is
important to note that promoting afforestation
will promote and boost the economy as well.
 • Planting trees can Help Combat the Negative
Impact of Deforestation - All relationships are
about giving and taking, even our relationship
with the earth. It is only fair that we plant
more trees to make up for the ones we cut, so
as to maintain the ecological balance and
natural harmony. Planting trees is the only
way to make sure that our planet’s green
cover is not wiped out completely.

Trees give us life. It is time that we gave back to

nature. It is time that we nurture the earth now and tree
plantation would be a great leap forward in this
endeavor.
 Conclusion

Therefore, we conclude that trees should be

regularly planted to save the mankind and the animal
world. Tree plantation and its after-care is a pleasing
work too. We can get much pleasure in planting
trees and in taking care of them.
The central conclusion from the analysis is that role of
plantation forests, in meeting future wood and fibre
demands, will increase during the next 30 years,
irrespective of future rates of plantation establishment.
Trees in the ground already largely determine wood
supplies from forest plantation for the next decade.
In many countries, a considerable increase in areas
of plantation forests reaching harvestable age will
occur. Beyond 2010, plantation production forecasts
are increasingly dependent on assumptions of new
planting rates, and on assumptions of improvements
in annual increments.
There is scope, depending on policy decisions and
markets, for forest plantations to play a dominant role
in industrial wood and fibre supplies. A more
likely scenario is that the proportion of forest
plantation-grown wood will increase, but natural
forestswill continue to supply a modest majority of
industrial round wood.
We can make things better by planting more trees and
facilitating afforestation. We have done nothing but
take from nature for so long. It is high time we gave
back to the earth and there is no time like the present to
do a good deed and make the earth a clean, green, and
beautiful place to live in once again. After all, the future
generations must inherit the earth in the same condition
it was left to us, if not better. We owe it to them to
make the world a healthy, happy, and safe place to live
in.
