3. Prove that 𝑢 = 2𝑥 − 𝑥 3 + 3𝑥𝑦 2 is harmonic and hence find its harmonic conjugate. Also
find the corresponding analytic function.
Ans.: 𝑣 = 2𝑦 − 𝑦 3 − 3𝑦𝑥 2 , 𝑓(𝑧) = 2𝑧 − 𝑧 3 + 𝑐
4. Find the real part of the analytic function whose imaginary part is 𝑒 𝑥 [𝑥𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑦 + 𝑦𝑐𝑜𝑠𝑦] also
construct the analytic function.

6. Prove that the family of curves u=c1 & v=c2 are orthogonal to each other.
7. Given 𝑣(𝑥, 𝑦) = 3𝑥 2 𝑦 − 𝑦 3 + 6𝑥𝑦 find 𝑓(𝑧) = 𝑢 + 𝑖𝑣. Show that 𝑓(𝑧) is analytic.
