I. PROJECT OBJECTIVES
This project proposal is about transforming the process of disposing the
solid waste into a productive and innovative operation as part of implementing
the right way on how people in Ibayo-Tipas could cope up with the proper
disposal of waste. The proposed improvements, particularly in Ibayo-Tipas in
Taaguig equipment and for the new form of business which is having online store
aim to preserve the business's stability, specifically installing new equipment for
the operation of making bread and packaging their goods, which is crucial part
because this is where they earn knowledge. Also, it intends to achieve greater
scope of literacy that can generate more ideas on how people should properly
disposed their own waste at home.
1. To increase the rates of waste reduction, re-use, and recycling.
The three R's – reduce, reuse, and recycle – all contribute to
reducing the amount of garbage we generate. They save energy, natural
resources, and waste. Furthermore, the three R's save communities both
land and money by reducing the amount of garbage that must be disposed
of in landfills.
2. To organize proper solid waste disposal in order to reduce exposure
to harmful pollutants.
Subsequently be packed and sold. For both the protection of
human health, safety, and environmental sustainability, proper solid-waste

collection is critical. It is a labor-intensive activity that accounts for around
three-quarters of overall solid-waste management fees. Aside from that,
Committing to trash segregation is an important part of proper waste
disposal. Sort through items that can be re-used and recycled before
throwing away all of your old stuff and garbage. The remaining trash may
then be separated into organic waste, inorganic waste, non-recyclable
material, and even compost, which can
3. To raise public awareness about waste management and disposal.
The influence on your space is the first reason you should commit
to appropriate garbage disposal. You can keep your environment clean
and organized by separating an area outdoors or even within your house
or workplace and having your trash cleaned up on a regular basis. Aside
from improving your own and your community's safety, effective trash
disposal is also a social duty. Waste management helps to decrease the
use of plastics and the production of large quantities of materials.
Composting and other measures that do not contribute to climate change
are also promoted.
4. Improves community health
People were hurt by garbage burning in landfills and backyards
before adequate waste disposal methods were developed. Systemic
illnesses and respiratory issues, such as asthma and emphysema, can
occur. Waste disposal that is done properly benefits communities.
II. DATE OF IMPLEMENTATION

When garbage is disposed of or recycled in a safe, ethical, and
responsible way, it helps to mitigate the environment's negative effects. Keeping
waste management practices consistent helps to guarantee that fewer waste
items end up in the general trash stream. To avoid blockage of drainage
systems, which might cause to floods, environmental protection and effective
solid waste management procedures should begin in our barangays.
The 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle – may be used to properly
dispose of and manage garbage. Reducing trash/garbage production entails
lowering the amount of trash/garbage generated. Reusing refers to the reuse of
materials, whereas recycling refers to the creation of new materials or products
from trash/[Link] proposal aims at starting up a decentralized proper
waste management scheme in one of Barangay in Taguig City, District 1–the
Ibayo-Tipas, thereby improving the local environment and offering continuous
literacy to individuals from socially and economically advantage. After an initial
period of 24 months, the project will be handed over to the Local Government
Unit of Taguig. The proposal, nevertheless, is scheduled to launch on October
10, 2021.
III. RATIONALE
One amongst our country's problems is improper waste disposal. The
Philippines has been able to enhance its solid waste management program in
4
PATEROS TECHNOLOGICALCOLLEGE
order to secure human health and the environment. Improper waste disposal has
been related to health issues and has been identified as a major cause of
contamination. Taguig has a few programs in place, one of which is the Municipal
Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Program, which includes Ibayo, Tipas as
one of the barangays.
2019 ( Mawis) “Human civilization maintains itself by converting nature
into garbage,” according to Mason Cooley, an aphorist and professor. People are
still ignorant of the harmful repercussions of incorrect garbage disposal, as stated
in this remark.
The project aims to promote awareness, notably among citizens of Ibayo,
Tipas, regarding proper solid waste disposal. I have found out that the majority of
them do not however know much about waste management; therefore this sort of
project is ideal. Others have enacted legislation such as Republic Act No. 9003,
which bans littering, throwing, or dumping garbage in public areas, as well as
causing or enabling such activity.
However, with garbage ending up on streets, sewages, canals, and other
waterways, these law still not effective. But it can be attributed to lack of
participation by residents in promoting solid waste management, and a general
public lack of awareness about waste disposal and segregation. This project may

also help Barangay Ibayo reduce pollution and to innovate community reduce
and recycle activities.
IV. BACKGROUND OF THE LOCALE
The Barangay Ibayo-Tipas is one of the city of Taguig's original rural
forms. Barrio Tipas used to be a part of it. The Tagalog Ibayo referred to the
original immigrants who lived on the other side of Tipas or in the Tipas valley.
Ibayo eventually grew and flourished, and it became known as Ibayo-Tipas.
According to history, this was the lone location in ancient times. There are
a lot of people in Tipas, which is a huge city. The Sangguniang Bayan decided to
split Tipas into four barangays in 1974, under the administration of former Mayor
Monico C. Tanyag, via a Municipal Resolution presented by Councilor Pascual
Sarmiento. Palingon and Calzada are the villages that surround the other.
Currently, Barangay Ibayo is still developing; the grounds that were
formerly cultivated by genuine Ibayo people have been transformed into various
enterprises and workshops / factories that provide the residents with a source of
income. There are up to 100 small and medium-sized companies and 165
miscellaneous businesses located here. This product is available across the
Philippines. Due to the increasing attentiveness of the inhabitants, it may be
regarded one of the affluent barangays in the town of Taguig.

determine the concrete plan to follow. The project technical requirements aspect
is what this project want to pay attention to which covered and affect the
operation system and distribution process of solid waste in Ibayo-Tipas. Since
this is what the project implementer sees as the reason why there is a glitch in
the waste disposal of people in Ibayo-Tipas. However, this is not a step-by step
procedure. It is an iterative process in which each move is revisited as more
information is gathered.
The residents in Ibayo-Tipas must have an idea about the suggested proposal of
the implementer. Once the residents and the Local Government Unit approved
the suggested project proposal about the proper disposal of solid waste
management, this are the activities, technical requirements, and budget allotment

Solid Waste Management Project In Ibayo, Tipas, Taguig City
The illustration above is the project plan of the implementer; as what the
table stated, the budget required is approximately 700,000 to make it easier to
submit or implement such a program. Aside from that, this will serve as
knowledge and a helping hand for the residents of barangay Ibayo-Tipas and
Taguig City Local Government Unit, since it is all too tempting to make targets in
our heads or on paper that we know we won't achieve at a given time. They will
have strict requirements and budget breakdown as limits to follow particular
measures for the people who want to promulgate this project proposal, making it
even more realistic and it will be forced to stick to the course of action in order to
achieve;
It will assist residents of Ibayo-Tipas in setting priorities with their

To improve waste segregations’ of barangay Ibayo-Tipas on odds of
getting an investment in health issues→ Health and sanitation are two of the
most pressing problems when it comes to trash disposal. Viruses and sculpt
thrive in decaying and festering garbage. Your home is vulnerable to disease
spread if waste is not properly disposed of. Improper garbage management, such
as strewn trash or late skip bin rental pick-ups, can cause skin rashes, allergies,
and other issues. This work implies that your health should be the most important
thing on your mind, and it should be at the top of your priority list. When your
health isn't in excellent shape, it affects every part of your life. You are unable to
handle other aspects of your life if you are afflicted by illness or disease. If you're
