Immersion Journal Entry #1

January 17-21

Reflecting my first week at planning a business is

The most memorable days and week of my life. It was so stressing for me to start a business. In our 1 st
week we are able to plan and brain storm ideas together with my groupmate, Angel Grace Pimentel.
We are very stressful in thinking of what product are we selling because we overthink that maybe it will
gonna fail. As a entrepreneur we does not think of a simple and ordinary product, we think of a product
that can be innovated and that is the “bitso” commonly known as “Pilipit”. In thinking of our brand
name, we have the idea to make it catchy where as our target customers will be curious when they hear
our product name. Thinking of its name would be that difficult for us, as we know that having a
nonpopular brand would not be that popular for the mass. We also consider in our planning the location
of our business and our target customers. Upon thinking of the location we come up on putting it near
the school for us to be easily known by our target customers.

With this week I can say that it is the most stressful part of our immersion as we don’t have the idea on
how to put up a small business but through the guidance of our teachers we are able to start it.
Respecting and listening to others opinion is the thing that I also learned in this day. As we, the partners
in this business we will be having would have to cooperate and work together as one. A successful
company or business will not only about having a high income but it is also about having a good
relationship between the internal users of the business.

Immersion journal entry #2

January 24,-28

This was the 2nd week of our immersion. This week we are be doing our business plan. The first thing
that we have been feel difficult about is how to start it, though we all know that beginning would always
be the hardest to take action. It was been difficult for us since we have no idea how to atart it and what
are the things included in the business plan we are making. In this week we are able to do some
research on how to make business plan. We tried to search on google, watch youtube tutorials and to
ask our fellow students and teachers. With this kind of action we did, we are able to know how to start
this kind of activity we are having.

Upon doing our business plan we have a difficulty on the process or in the production of our bitso de
leche, since it was a innovated product we have no idea on what our product would be taste like and
how to totally produce it. In that case, we have to do some experiments or to try it first before indicating
the exact and right procedure of our product as well as its measurements for a great taste it would be.
We divided the parts of the business plan to finish it as one, so that we, both are doing or exerting an
effort in doing it. This idea lead us to finish our business plan at the right time before its deadline.

Reflecting in this week make me realize that working together is success. If everyone is moving forward
together, then success takes care of itself. As we have been experienced this kind of success due to our
unity.

Immersion entry no. 3

January 28 – February 4

The long wait is over, we are now executing our business. This day would be into a reality as we are be
starting to sell and I was really afraid as im overthing that what if our business will fail? On the other
hand our 1st day of selling is great. We thought that we couldn’t sell all the products we made but we did
it. We are able to sold all those products in our 1 st day. Our first customers is our friends and family.
They are the one who supported our business first. After that as days past by, our products is already
known by many people. We start making our products early in the morning to be able to provide all the
orders of our customers as well as to produce extra products for those who will buy for that day. The
Facebook page we created have been a great impact for our business. It is the way why our product is
pupolar. With that page we also accepted orders and it was overwhelming for us that our products are
loved by our dear customer.

Regarding on the incomes we had, we are able to have income everyday since the first day. Though we
also offer some discount and promos we are still able to come up the expected income we have. At first
we only come up with a small net income. Since the day have past, as there is an increase of customers,
our income also been increased. It was a very successful small business for us, since the money we have
been invested for our business is doubled. I can say that in putting up a business we have to consider
many aspects for us to be succeed as well as we need to become hardworking and cooperate with the
other person included in the business and to our customers.

Summary of learning

Actually we have a business and i'm helping my parents in running it, so it is not my first time to handle a
business. This work immersion is a
good thing that the Department of Education gave opportunity to us, the
pioneers of K-12 curriculum to train ourselves in a work environment to the

taste of real life the moment you had your first job. I, myself have learned so

much lessons and attain so many experiences that will surely make me grow

into a better student and a better citizen in the near future. This subject also
gave glimpse on us what we are going to face the moment we step out on school and start earning
money on our own. Those struggles we’ve faced
when we are travelling it takes time to go our work so that we cannot be

late, you need to have an early lunch so that It will not be hassle and also

balancing studies and work are just the basic struggles as a true worker is

facing every day. Also, with this subject, I have realized that we should not

become too burden on our parents because this is what they are going

through just to provide for the needs of the family.

You, being inside the school is fun yet stressful sometimes and we
thought that we will live like this for the rest of our lives. Well, let me tell you something; inside the
school, you learn but outside of school, we learn more.
Experience is still the best teacher we could ever have. Treasure every bit of
it and learn from it.
