TIME AND ROUTINES:

-> I usually wake up at 5:30 or 6:00 o’clock to go to school. But on the weekend or when I don’t
have to go to school, I often wake up later about 9 or 10 o’clock
[Link] you tell us about your typical day?
->My typical day starts at 5:30 am in the morning. First things, I make my bed as soon as I get
up. And I spend around 30 minutes jogging or doing yoga. After that I freshen up, brush my
teeth and wash my face and have my breakfast. Then, I go to school every morning. In the
afternoon, I work at coffee shop – It’s my parttime job. I come back home in the evening, have
dinner, shower and do my homework. My day ends at 11:00 pm o’clock, when I go to bed.
[Link] do you want to change in your daily routine?
->Well, at present I am quite balanced with my activities in life, so most probably I won’t like to
change anything major. But I think I would prefer taking out some time for my relaxation and
holidays in my routine. Because my part time job takes me too much time. As a result mostly I
don’t get time to study or meet many people. I think one change that I would want would be that
I get some time to interact with people
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
[Link] tall are you?
-> I am 165 centimeters tall. I think this is the average height in Viet Nam
[Link] is your weight?
-> I am 60 kilos. I think I’m a little overweight
[Link] does your mother/father/brother/sister look like?
->My mother and father are both tall and slim. While me and my sister are tall and fat. And all
members of my family have round face and black hair.
[Link] much time should be spent on making yourself look better each day?
-> Actually, I give quite a time to myself. I spend about 45 minutes to 1 hours a day exercising
and taking care of my appearance. I spend a lot of my free time reading books, listening music or
learning languages. At least once a month, I try to take break from social media either for a day
or 2 and spend time alone in my room doing stuff I like such as just thinking and thinking. It’s
that time I can talk to myself and know what I want. It’s also time of self-assessment of my
thoughts and actions throughout the month. Self-care and self – love makes me feel happy from
within and can take me a long way.
PERSONALITIES AND CHARACTERS
[Link] is your mother/ father/ best friend/ teacher like?
-> My father is a very outgoing person who can talk to anyone. This has helped him in life a
great deal. He doesn’t judge people based on their appearance and just tries to engage with
people
-> My mother is the kindest and most loving me. She was always there for me through no matter
what troubles I had, or have. Strong yet somehow peaceful
->My best friend has a very quick temper and can lose her temper over very simple things. She is
also extremely stubborn. And a perfectionist. With herself and with everyone.
->My teacher is really nice and works very hard. She treats her students like her own children.
Although she might get angry sometimes, she does that for our own good. She is the best teacher
any student can ever have.
[Link] are some characteristics of your personality?
->I think I’m a funny and outgoing person. I’m also a perfectionist with myself. I like surprise
and varieties. I don’t really like to stay in comfort zones. It will be very boring and I can’t be
alive and kicking.
[Link] you an introvert or extrovert?
->A lot of time, I wonder whether I’m an introvert or extrovert? But in the end, I don’t know the
answer. Maybe both. I love parties, make new friends and talk to anyone. But sometimes, I want
to be alone, I’m not comfortable with everyone.
[Link] you happy with your personality?
->Yes, I guess I like my personality. But it wasn't always. There were times when I felt really
uncertain, but I overcame it after I accepted my personality with all my flaws. I begin to believe
my self and have a peace in my soul.
PARTIES AND CELEBRATIONS:
[Link] you enjoy celebrating your birthday parties?
-> Yes, I do. Birthdays bring along with them so much positivity and a feeling of freshness. I can
meet my friends, enjoy with them and then sing birthday songs, laugh at the silly things done. It
is like we become kids once again
[Link] do you often do on your birthday?
->I often have a party to celebrate my birthday, invite my family and close friends to join. We
eat, talk, play, put cakes and then sing birthday songs. We dance and sing and so much more, I
only want my special day to be quietly spent with my beloved people in the family and my close
friends
[Link] what occasions do people often celebrate?
->Like the other place, we all celebrate big celebrations like New Year, Christmas and birthday
or even Mid-Autumn Festival. We all enjoy good food and spend quality time together.
[Link] are some national celebrations do you have in your country?
-> There are quite a lot of national celebrations in Vietnam. We have reunification day, National
Day, to mark the country’s declaration of independence in 1945, and of course the most
important national holiday, Tet. During this time Vietnamese people return to their hometowns
and spend several days chilling out, feasting on traditional delicacies, visiting relatives
FOOD AND DRINK:
[Link] is your favorite food?
-> One of my favorite foods is bread. It is an extremely popular dish and is known by many
tourists.
[Link] there any foods that you wouldn’t eat as a child but you eat now?
->Yes, there are. I used to hate or being too picky on my food when I was a child. I hated
mushrooms, bell peppers, eggplants, celery, …There a list of some that I can remember that I
used to hate my mother cooking but that I love now.
[Link] you concerned about your daily calorie intake when choosing something to eat?
->Not really, I try to keep my diet fairly clean and I don’t gorge myself. But I still often look at
the calories in what I eat and drink.
4. What's your favorite drink in the summer?
->My favorite drink in the summer is juice. It is good for health and easy to buy or make.
MOVIES:

->My favorite movie is ‘Reply 1988’. I have watched this movie more than ten times.
Throughout the movie, there are also many important messages.

->No, there aren’t. I think I like all kinds of movies because each genre has its own unique points
and I’m also very easy-going.

->Yes, I have. I have watched one movie more than ten times. Because throughout the movie,
there are also many important messages.
[Link] two movie stars would you like to become your best friend?
->There are so many movie stars I would like to become my best friend but I think I will choose
Emma Waston and Tom Cruise. Because I'm impressed with their acting

->I probably make three or four phone calls in one day, usually just to speak to family and
friends but I think I prefer to use message.

->Yes, I have. I accidentally dialed the wrong number. After realizing, I said “I’m sorry, but I’ve
dialed a wrong number” and the other party replying with “No worries”. So lucky!

->No, I haven’t. I use texting message more than calling so I usually just leave a message and
wait for a reply
TELLING STORIES:
[Link] did you do last weekend?
-> I spend most of time at home. I watched a Korean movie. I liked it very much. Then, I cooked
with my mom and studied a lot.
[Link] did you feel about your last trip?
->It’s been a long time since my last trip. It was a very wonderful and memorable trip. I was able
to discover a lot of new things. But because of the pandemic COVID-19, I didn’t have any more
trips.
[Link] you ever encountered a serious problem before?
->No, I haven’t. I think the problems that I have encountered are very small, not a serious
problem
HEALTH:
[Link] you have any healthy/unhealthy habits?
->Yes, I have. My healthy habits are do exercise everyday and eat healthy food. And my
unhealthy habits are drink carbonated water and eat fast food, sleep too late.
[Link] you often pay attention to public information about health?
->Yes, I do. I am very aware of public information about health. It is important because it gives
us an extra benefit of gathering some important updates about health conditions. We also get
advice about our lifestyle and the changes needed to enjoy a disease-free life
3. When was the last time that you were sick?
->It’s been one years since I was last sick. I think when I was 18 and I haven't been sick even
one day since then.
[Link] you often have a common cold? What do you often do if you have a common cold?
->No, not really often. I just get about one or two colds each year.
->To feel better, I get lots of rest and drink plenty of water. Avoid close contact with others, such
as hugging, kissing, or shaking hands. And take medications only as directed
TRAVELLING:
[Link] you like travelling?
->Yes, I like travelling very much. Travelling is great way to relax and disconnect from school or
work and daily routine. Not only that, travelling helps me explore new things, new culture and
broaden my knowledge. It’s a wonderful experience every time
[Link] do you often spend the holiday with?
->I often spend the holiday with my family. It’s the best time to talk, share and connect with each
member of family after a busy time.
[Link] kind of places have you visited in your life?
->I prefer to visit the places which elevate my mood and energize me. I have traveled a bit in Da
Lat, Hoi An. In another country, I also have visited Thai Lan, Taiwan and Hong Kong. These
places are all great
[Link] you visit new places, what do you like to do?
->When visiting a new place. I often look for a nice view and take lots of pictures, something
that looks good for social media profile picture. After that, I will try the traditional food item
here.
PART 2:
[Link] is your favorite time of the day?
->I love nights, especially midnights. There’s something wonderful about nights that makes me
happy and relaxed. Nights are soothing. I feel kind of liberated. It feels like I can do anything
without any interruptions. I'm most creative, most energetic, and most enthusiastic at night. The
reason why I love midnight conversations - everyone seems a bit more honest and at ease. But
being sleep deprived in the long run is not quite healthy.
[Link] do you think is the most beautiful in your country? Why?
->We all have different definition of what is attractive or what is not. I think H’Hen nie is the
most beautiful in my country. She's so different from the beauty queens I've seen. She has short
hair, tanned skin and looks very healthy and active. Moreover, HH is a talented, intelligent, and a
lenient girl. The ethnic Ede girl’s efforts to overcome severe challenges throughout her life and
go on to win the Miss Universe Vietnam crown has been a positive inspiration for the
community.
3. If you could change any aspect of your personality, what would it be?
-> If I'll be given the chance to change one thing in my personality, I'll choose understand and
control my own emotions. People’s comments and suggestions affect me so much, especially
recently since I’ve just been constantly frustrated / frʌ[Link]ɪ.t̬ ɪd / at every little thing. My emotions
are purely/ pjʊ[Link]/ fueled/ fjuː.əl/ by what other people think of me. I get so depressed and sad over
the smallest thing. I always don't know what I want. And I always tell myself to be perfect in
everyone's eyes. So stupid!
4. What are the main reasons why people organize family parties in your countries?
-> Family parties are mostly organized to celebrate a special occasion and parties are an
opportunity for the whole /hoʊl/ family to get together and spend time with each other. Most of
the time everyone is so rushed off their feet that there’s not much time for this kind of thing. But
family parties are the perfect excuse to catch up with loved ones and visit relatives that you
might not have seen for several months, or even years. For instance, we invite our relatives,
friends, colleagues /ˈkɑː.liːɡ/ and neighbors to our house to rejoice a family member’s birthday,
engagement, marriage anniversary or graduation day.
5. Which country's food do you like the most?
-> I have a profound passion for Viet Nam cuisine /kwɪˈziːn/. Most Vietnamese meals are light
yet full of flavor, featuring broths and light sauces that don’t leave you bloated. Vietnam food is
so healthy and it’s easy to find anywhere. That’s why Vietnam became well-known for its street
food. Moreover, VN food is very diverse, not repeat a dish and the price is very cheap.
6. Do you think historical movies are educational? Why? /Why not?
->Yes. I thoroughly believe that historical movies are educational as it allows students to easily
visualize the event and you can bet a student will be more willing to pay attention to a movie
than an essay or questions you set him/ her for homework. This is a very effective way to quickly
convey a lot of information to a wide student in a captivating and entertaining manner. Of
course, there are some exceptions, if a ‘historical’ movie is blatantly incorrect in its historical
information, then this will paint the wrong picture to the students and source them with incorrect
information
7. Would you say your country is a good place for travelers to visit? Why?
-> Yes, definitely. Viet Nam is considered to be one of the best countries to travel to because of
its rich and diverse culture. The way the people in Viet Nam welcome others with such a warm
heart is tremendous /trɪˈmen.dəs/ to be felt. Vietnamese people are always very hospitable /hɑː
ˈspɪt̬ .ə.bəl/ , entertaining visitors from foreign countries with fine arts and dance as well as some
good food. They’re eager to welcome visitors to experience Vietnamese culture and customs
while gaining more knowledge about foreign countries.
8. What do you do to stay healthy?
-> Health is our most valuable property which makes our life happier and more enjoyable. I
believe that everyone has their own methods to keep them healthy. And this is my own methods
in staying healthy. First, I have a reasonable diet. I eat more nutrition food, low-fat diet with lots
of fruits, vegetables instead of eat fast food and using carbonated drinks. Besides, I do exercise
for 30 minutes every morning such as jogging, walking or riding bicycle to keep fit.
Additionally, I sleep enough 8 hours in everyday because sleep is very important. As well, I also
keeping off bad habits and taking medical examinations regularly.
9. How do you communicate with someone who is in another place/country?
->I usually use English to communicate because English is a common language and is used
almost everywhere in the world. So English is bound to be important. Besides, I also use sign
language or google translate if English is not common there. As another option, I can hire a
translator in the country I am visiting. As well, I might try learning at least a passable bit of a
language, enough to get me buy in typical situations. And appreciate face – avoid belittling
others or causing them discomfort.
->Nowadays as far as technology goes /ɡoʊz/. It will easy to communicate with people who is in
another places, country. The grown up of internet, smartphone, laptop, ipad, social app such as
fb, zalo, Instagram…can bring us come closer together. If I miss my friend or relatives who live
in another country now, just pick up my phone and make a phone call or video call to her, after
that we talk for a few hours or we can type to chat to each other. I also can meet and make new
friends through social network, I use English to communicate with them because English is used
to almost everywhere in the world. This helps me improve my English a lot
10. What was the best/ worst day in your life?
->Best day? Probably my 18th birthday. Turning 18 officially marks the end of childhood. Now I
am an adult /əˈdʌlt/, I ready to make decisions, and take responsibility for my own life. I can vote,
do everything I want ‐ and drink down the pub! Sounds exciting, right? Well, it’s also a little bit
scary. Until yesterday, I leaned on my parents and made only a few decisions on my own, and
now I am supposed to do things independently.
