You work so closely with the fashion industry. Your style aesthetics are commendable.
Was it
always the case? How has your style quotient changed since when you were younger?
I so I grew up in a very orthodox family which meant that I desperately wanted to wear western
clothes at home but wasn't allowed to even though I was raised in Canada.
We were allowed to wear our school uniform, but we weren't allowed to wear English clothes or
western clothes in the house. Now I am working with one of the biggest names in fashion, ironical,
isn’t it?
And so, from a very young age, I always knew I wanted to play with style and so I think that that's
what encouraged me to be quite experimental with my wardrobe and got me here.
How do you define luxury? How has the definition of luxury changed over the past year for you?
Luxury for me is aspirational, something that I feel proud and privileged to be able to wear or use
and that has never changed or will never change.
I would just love it if luxury was slightly more accessible and attainable.
I did not have access to luxury a long time ago.
However, when it comes to my world which is clothing there, of course, are luxury brands that I love
very much and I feel very proud to be able to wear and I feel like I'm in such a privileged position to
be able to wear those things I'm sure you feel the same way not many people have access to these
luxury brands that we now have access to however that isn't my only luxury in life there's so much
and the greatest is the privilege that I have to be able to have an opinion and to be able to speak it
freely because I'm in a country that is very liberal where I get to say something and I have an opinion
and that's okay.
Connecting with your consumer is sacrosanct. What value of your brand makes you connect to
them and what makes them keep coming back?
People want to know your country through your product and your merchandise we just realized that
you know if you have authenticity, you'll always have a consumer.
You know sustainability also needs to be reflected in design you need to create
Products which are timeless that people can wear again and again and again so our H&M collection
is an edit of things that we thought people would like to have in their wardrobe it travels very easy
and you know it's very roomy it's gender fluid and i think it's a perfect for our consumers.
