Environmental Data Collection System Guide

The document provides information about a new Environmental Data Collection System (EDCS) being implemented by Sae-A to streamline environmental data collection from its supply chain facilities. The EDCS will allow each facility to directly enter their monthly environmental performance data into an online portal. It describes the data parameters to be collected, including GHG emissions, water use, waste generation, and more. It also outlines how personnel should access and use the system to input data, with guidance on proper data entry procedures to ensure accurate reporting.

Environmental Data

Collection System
Context

• Environmental Data
- Raw Env. Data will be compiled and catalogued
- Practical applications for the collected Env. Data include GHG
Inventory
- Reportable data processing for CDP, ZDHC, WM Sustainability
Program and more
Context

• Previous Environmental Data collection • Sae-A SCM Environmental Data Input

- Communicated via mail and data collected on MS Excel - Each facility will have respective access
- ESG managers contacted factories individually - Streamlined data collection process
- Time inefficient & cause of error - Real time reviewing of input data made possible
- Data parameters and form will be uniform
Accessing the SCM

• Personnel from each facility will be given unique access

to their own factories
• ID will be the username of your email address
(e.g/ esg@[Link])
• Sae-A owned : PW will be identical to the PW for your
Sae-A email account
• Subcontractors : PW will be a 4-digit supplier code for
your factory
• DO NOT share ID and PW
• If you cannot access the SCM, please contact us directly
• [Link]
Menu

• Once logged in, click on ‘ESG’ tab

• Management menu allows you to enter factory specific
information regarding:
- Chemicals & MSDS
- Laws and Regulations
- License and Permits
- Environmental Impact Reduction Plan
• Monthly Data Input is the critical menu – where personnel
from the factories will be entering environmental data
SCOPE of Environmental Data
• GHG Inventory • Waste (Non-Hazardous & Hazardous)
- Stationary Combustion - Materials / Metal / Plastic / Paper / Food / Cartons
Diesel Boiler, Diesel Generator, LNG, LPG, Biomass / Wood / Fabric / Glass / Others (Non-Hazardous)
- Road Transport : Rental and Owned
Diesel, Gasoline, LPG Vehicle - Chemical Container / Sludge / Boiler Dust / Waste
- Purchased Electricity Oil / Others (Hazardous)

• Wastewater Quality
• Water Consumption
- BOD (mg/l)
- Industrial Purpose Water : any water involved in
production - COD (mg/l)
- Steam : only input if steam is purchased - Temperature (‘C)
- Domestic Purpose Water : e.g/ canteen, dorms - TSS
- pH
• Refrigerant
- Refrigerant Type R22 (Kg)
• Air Quality
- Refrigerant Type R410A (Kg)
- SOx (mg/m3)
- CO2 Fire Extinguishers (Kg)
- NOx (mg/m3)
- CO
- PM
Inputting Data (1)

• You may enter data manually on the SCM

• You may also use the Excel Import to upload multiple rows of data
• HQ ESG team recommends manual data upload unless there’s data backlog
• Once data has been entered, please check the ‘Interim Confirm’ to indicate
that data is accurate
• The data approver must then review the data and check ‘Final Confirm’ to
verify accuracy of data
Inputting Data (2)

• Please prioritise accurate GHG Inventory data uploads

• Coordinate data transfer with production team or relevant factory personnel
to input monthly production quantity per buyer (e.g/ Target 100k pcs etc)
• You MUST differentiate fuel sources correctly
• Please double check units – convert your data according to the units in the
SCM if necessary
• Please correctly differentiate ‘Rental’ and ‘Owned’ Vehicles’ fuel usage
*Excel Import – How to

1. Press ‘Add’ to add new rows of empty data

2. Press ‘Excel’ to download empty data template form
3. Enter the date in YYYY-MM form and add data where applicable
4. Press ‘Excel Import’ to import data form
