Introduction

Communication is a crucial component of our daily life. Every day, we communicate

with different people at different times and in different ways. In our ideas, we communicate
with ourselves. We also communicate with our family, friends, colleagues, and anyone we
meet on a social or professional level. We may need to communicate with a wider audience,
such as members of the public, at times. Oral communication has been defined as the process
through which people use verbal and nonverbal messages to generate meaning in and across
settings, cultures, channels, and media. We will use our speaking abilities the most in oral
communication. The concepts underlying speech communication and how they affect us.

We can also define speaking as conversing or expressing one's thoughts and feelings
in spoken language. Speaking abilities are the abilities that allow us to communicate
successfully. These abilities enable the speaker to express his message in a passionate,
deliberate, and persuasive manner. It enables us to make relationships, influence decisions,
and inspire change. Without communication abilities, it would be practically impossible to
advance in the workplace and in life. Public speaking is both one of the most vital and one of
the most feared kinds of communication.

There are four types of speaking skills. The first requirement is fluency. Fluency
refers to how comfortable and confident we are when speaking English. The second
component is vocabulary. If we don't have the words to say what we want to say, we won't be
able to say it well. Grammar is the third. Grammar is important, and the fewer errors we
make, the better our speaking skills will be. The final point is pronunciation. Pronunciation is
a difficult subject with numerous sub-skills that can be honed. The general rule is that an
ordinary speaker can speak and be understood.

Reflective Report

Student life is intriguing and filled with a wide range of activities. As a result,
students usually struggle to divide their time when doing assignments. There's no doubting
that there were certain challenges I had to overcome while creating this video. Challenges
emerge from a variety of factors, including the environment, a lack of competence, and a
failure to accomplish obligations within the time frame set. When I originally accepted the
work, I was surprised and apprehensive since I expected it to be tough for me to complete.
Then I sought guidance from my friends on how to complete the work. I began by completing
research on the problems that are now plaguing the educational system. I've seen the defects
and benefits of today's educational system, and I'm curious in the challenges that plagued the
educational system in the past.

Then I research for resources to help me understand the title of my speech. I'm
looking for resources online and am thinking about using Open University Malaysia's online
library services. After performing research on the topic of my speech, I believe it will be
easier to complete the project assigned to me. I'm looking forward to finishing this task as
well. It took me a few weeks to conduct the research. I endeavored to prepare the text of my
speech and organize the arrangements of my video recording after a few weeks. I also
researched how to give a decent speech because, to be honest, I had never given a public
address before. During my research, I was particularly interested in Mark Zuckerberg's
opening remarks at Harvard's graduating ceremony on May 26, 2017. After conducting some
study on speeches and how to give them, I started writing about how I wanted to include my
speech into my presentation. There are numerous methods. I've been thinking of working out
in front of a mirror while pretending to give a speech.

Next, I practiced in front of my friends, believing that their input would help me
improve my presentation style. After doing the task, I realized that developing creative stuff
is difficult and time-consuming. There are numerous inputs that must be highlighted to
develop creative material in the form of speech, with voice and video presented having the
power to affect the audience. I take a long time to accomplish this work because I am not
extremely imaginative. However, I really enjoyed the process of making this piece.
I took this 2 week to complete this assignment because it is an easy and pleasurable
practice for me that does not require much time. During that time, I tried a few other
strategies to see if they could help me, but none of them were able to deliver the results I
expected. I also requested advise from a friend on which strategy would be ideal for me to
finish my recording. I'm pleased because, according to the recommendations of my friends,
I've discovered techniques that will help me. My friend's advice was quite helpful, and I am
grateful to him. I've had some training to guarantee that my speech is unique and original. I
was depressed at the time because I thought my work did not live up to my aspirations for
originality and ingenuity.

After my presentation, I shared my video clip to several of my relatives and friends. I

was initially hesitant and shy to share my speech recording, but I realized I wouldn't be able
to improve my speech video if I didn't. My mother was the first person I showed in my
speech video, and she was taken by surprise because she knew how shy I was in front of the
camera. My mother then suggested that after watching the video of my presentation, I
enhance the way I present the information I want to impart. I acknowledge that point of view
and am working to improve my video. Then I emailed a video of my speech to a friend. My
friend's immediate reaction was one of delight because I had before created something
outside of my comfort zone.

When my colleague saw the video of my speech, he stated his belief in my ability to
produce a video that would have an influence on people. All I need is some practice. After
receiving feedback from my colleagues and mother, I showed my tape to a friend who
assisted me in recording the video. My friend commented that it is a decent effort and that I
should keep working on improving the video. My friends have also contributed ideas to make
my videos more entertaining and impactful.

Making a video of my speech was a process that had a big impact on me. It was a very
valuable experience for me to have in my life because it allowed me to communicate while
completing this assignment. I thought the task was too difficult to do at first, but then I
recalled the expression "a target without a method is simply a desire." After reading those
words, I reminded myself that until I do it right now, I will never get a new experience in my
life, therefore I started my work by determining what I would do first. By taking this course, I
will be able to apply what I have learn in the classroom to my workplace, where it will be
immensely useful in carrying out my daily responsibilities. Understanding the ideas of
creativity and innovation enables me to think about making a video and speaking with others
more openly. Furthermore, this course has had a big impact on emphasizing the importance
of great communication to gain input.

exceedingly easy to grasp the subject and work at hand, while also supporting me in
completing the prescribed assignment. This learning offers several channels through which I
