Answer:
The Birthday Gift

Last year on the 1st of January 2021, I remember that my family

celebrated my birthday. A small party was organized by my parents. I
received many gifts that day.

On the day of my birthday, when I woke up early morning, I saw a

brown soft, and furry teddy bear. My parents gifted it to me. I felt so
happy on seeing it that I called it Joyti. I kept it on my bed, just beside
my pillow. I made a bow for Joyti. At night, I sleep holding my teddy
bear tightly.

It is the best birthday gift. I told all my friends about this gift.

Collective nouns function in a sentence to describe a group of individuals or things as a single entity. For instance, in the sentence 'The team of football players rushed home after practice,' 'team' serves as the collective noun, representing a group of players acting as one unit .

Auxiliary verbs are significant in complex sentences as they help form different tenses and voices, providing additional detail about the main verb. For example, in the sentence 'They are visiting their cousins next month,' the auxiliary 'are' helps form the present continuous tense, indicating an ongoing or future planned action .

Identifying verbs and their tenses develops several cognitive skills, including analytical thinking and pattern recognition. Analyzing sentences like 'It was raining heavily all morning' encourages learners to dissect sentence structure, recognize patterns of tense usage (past continuous in this case), and understand time relationships in communication .

Poetry is significant in teaching language skills because it enhances phonemic awareness, vocabulary, and comprehension through rhythm and rhyme. The poem provided exemplifies this by using vivid imagery and rhythmic patterns, aiding memory retention through rhyming pairs like 'Tail-sail' and 'Around-ground,' and encouraging students to explore language playfully .

Sentence completion tasks are effective in assessing grammar and writing skills as they require learners to apply their knowledge of word classes like nouns, verbs, and tenses correctly. For example, the task with 'Reshma plays the piano quite well' assesses the student's ability to identify an appropriate noun that fits contextually, showcasing understanding in noun-verb agreement .

The document's exercises on collective nouns, verbs, and adjectives collectively provide a comprehensive language learning experience by fostering a multidimensional understanding of sentence construction. Collective noun exercises, such as identifying a 'group of actors,' help students recognize subject-verb agreement. Verb identification tasks, like 'The children went to school,' ensure understanding of action and time, while adjective exercises, such as 'Beautiful Dog,' teach descriptive skills. Together, these activities build a holistic grasp of grammar, enhancing both written and spoken language proficiency .

Exercises that involve matching adjectives to nouns enhance vocabulary and comprehension skills by helping students understand how descriptions add meaning to nouns. This fosters better sentence construction and creativity in writers as they explore different ways to express ideas, as seen in examples like 'Beautiful Dog' and 'Huge Mouse' .

Adjectives enhance writing by providing descriptive details that enrich the narrative. For instance, in 'Beautiful Dog,' 'beautiful' describes the noun 'dog' and adds depth to the reader's understanding, allowing for a fuller mental image .

Verbs are crucial in sentences because they indicate the tense, which shows the time of the action. For example, in 'We went to Delhi last year,' the verb 'went' is in the simple past tense indicating a completed action in the past. Similarly, 'Rohan and Mohan visit Ahmednagar every summer' uses 'visit' in the simple present tense to indicate habitual action .

Understanding the correct usage of common nouns is essential for sentence completion tasks because it ensures clarity and coherence in communication. In the examples 'Reshma plays the piano quite well' and 'I am carrying a heavy suitcase,' choosing the correct noun ensures that the sentence conveys the intended meaning accurately .
