Abstract: MCQ based Online Examination System using java is a Test Management Software, which offers a complete solution
for Computer Based Test (CBT) .They are used to set up multiple choice tests for set time periods that when submitted are
automatically corrected and the results are displayed immediately after submitting the

1) Administrator login.
2) Student registration.
3) Management and update of questions, deleting question, students results.
4) Admin page is protected using password.
5) Display of result in the form of total score, immediately after exam.
A. What Impact Does It Have
1) Physical presence at a given location is absolutely not necessary.
2) No time is spent on evaluation.
3) Results are available instantly.
4) The time of starting and completion of examination can be recorded at the server and the student cannot manipulate the same.
5) Almost all competitive exams are multiple choice types and these can be easily conducted online, for example MSBTE
semester exams.
II. INTRODUCTION
A. Purpose
1) The purpose of on-line test simulator is to take online test in an efficient manner and no time wasting for checking the paper.
2) The main objective of on-line test is to efficiently evaluate the candidate thoroughly through a fully automated system that not
only saves lot of time but also gives fast results.
3) For students they give papers according to their convenience and time and there is no need of using extra thing like paper, pen
etc.
B. Scope
Scope of this project is very broad in terms of other manually taking exams.
Few of them are:-
1) This can be used in educational institutions as well as in corporate world.
2) No restriction that examiner has to be present when the candidate takes the test.

1) There is a quality login window because this is more secure than other login forms as in a normal login window there are
multiple logins available so that more than one person can access to test with their individual login.

V. FUTURE SCOPE
There have been numerous cases of computer glitches, errors in content, and security lapses reported in online examination .So in
the near future the so –called software could be made more secure and reliable. While electronic glitches are rare, they have been
known to occur, for instance when computer crashes voided the efforts of thousands of student. There are also cases in which the
correction software has corrupted scores. so the software can be programmed well so as to avoid corrupted scores.
VI. CONCLUSION
The MCQ based Online Examination System is developed using java programming language and MySql fully meets the objectives
of the system for which it has been developed. The system is operated at a high level of efficiency and all the teachers and user
associated with the system understands its advantage. The system solves the problem. It was intended to solve as requirement
