In this lesson, we’ll do a high-level overview of
the tech that makes launches happen.

TERMINOLOGY
• ESP - Email service provider. Software that sends out campaign emails,
and features tools that allow for non-manual email sending and follow
up.
• Funnel - A series of web pages connected together. This is what the
customer sees.
• Automation - non-manual process that sends out emails, or performs
certain actions.
• Tracking code - Code inserted into the header section to track optins
and conversions. A must for paid ad users.

TERMINOLOGY
• Tag - A named tag that is applied to a contact in an automation,
typically used for segmentation.
• Classroom portal - A website which hosts a digital product.
• Integration - A connection between two or more pieces of software so
that they communicate and pass data. Can be either a direct/native
integration, or through a third party, like Zapier.
• Payment processor - Software that takes payments, such as Stripe.
• Delivery - When a product is given to a customer after a purchase.

• There isn’t one right way to setup tech. Every business and offer is
slightly different. It’s ok to start simple, and try out different ideas as
you learn more skills.
• The only wrong way to setup tech is if it does not fulfill its purpose, and
doesn’t function correctly.
• Every business and offer is slightly different, build for what makes
sense for your offer.
• Consider these examples as vanilla ice cream. It’s up to you to add the
sprinkles that work best with your business.
