Solar System Model Making Lesson

This lesson plan is for a Year 4 summer course on modeling the solar system. It includes 3 periods totaling 90 minutes. Students will analyze data to provide evidence of solar system orbits. They will learn about the planets and their order from the Sun. Through a tutorial video, students will then make a 3D model of the solar system. They will put the planets in order, attach them to display facts, and decorate the model. Finally, the teacher will provide comments on the students' projects and the class will review and summarize the lesson.
