A TRUE FRIENDS
Well, making Friends is easy for me but that wasn’t always… At primary school starting a
conversation was so difficult for me, because i was very shy, my problem was trusting myself
but when i started secondary school i met Abril, a very outgoing girl who would become my
best friend, she spent his time acting in a theater group and he insisted on going there every
week. being in that group helped me a lot to socialize.
Abril and me started as a convenience friendship because I remember we are approaching the
end of the year in time of final exams, Solving mathematical problems wasn’t my strong suit
but she was very smart with numbers, my problem was not concentrating then I approached
her to help me, she agreed to help me and after that we discovered that we had many
common interest for example: swimming was our favorite sport and we loved horror movies
but always being in bad times was what made us best friends.
In conclusion a real friend for me is a person who is a person who is not afraid to tell you your
truths, having a friend is having the freedom to tell her about your problems without fear of
being judged, that’s being a good friend, in my case… my mother worry about my having so
few friends but I prefer to have few friends, true friends.
SAVE THE PLANET
I think that there are a lot of environmental problems in our country, for example… Mining
industry is one of the biggest polluters in our country because the machinery they use is very
old and the machinery don’t have the mechanism to do a eco friendly work in consequence all
toxic waste is dumped into the river, even though the locals have complained about it, the
government does nothing to solve these problems because mining give a good amount of
taxes and they thinks that it is more important than our environment.
Poor mining directly affects mainly Andean settlers because mining waste contaminate their
rivers, there are not one person intoxicated, there are many people with contaminated blood
other problems in the same region is contamination of fertile soils, the crops, the main source
of trade for the local population, is affected also habitats are being affected, the andean
animals like the Andean alpaca or the southern huanaco die by drinking the toxic waste from
the river water, it is a emergency but the government does not listen to the people.
some possible solutions would be that the government requires new machines in the mining
industry, specifically eco-friendly machines which have a higher cost but reduce water
pollution, environmental engineers should support improving the situation, there are a lot of
companies like Antamina mining company or Marcona mining company have to improve its
extraction quality of platinum or gold. the world is our greatest inheritance and we must take
care of it.
