Taking into account the above of the COCOMO 2 model, in an oral presentation
explain your:

1. Characteristics

It is a source code based tool and this makes this tool the most powerful for
estimating costs as opposed to other tools that only evaluate effort based on
size.

2. Parameters

This tool evaluates the effort by analyzing the hours per employee in a month,
the time dedicated to the project, the number of people needed in the project.

3. Operational concept

All its models and mods increase the variables as the difficulty in the source
code increases.

When the effort in source code increases all our parameters increases and our
constant variables too

4. mathematical model

Where

E is the effort required in the project, determinated for person-month

Tdev is time spent in the project, in months

P is people needed in the project

a, b, c and d are variables defined in a table, they vary according to a submodel

Kl is a lines of code, in thousand

m(X) is a multiplier who depends of 15 attributes.

The formulas mentioned in the previous slide, variables a, b, c and d will be


increased by 2.4 and 3.6, corresponding to the increase in effort in the
development of the project.

The effort is determinate for source code.
