The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) was approved by the United Nations in 1948.
In reaction to WWII's heinous atrocities, this paper establishes a declaration of fundamental rights,
including Western democracies share political, civil, and economic rights, as well as economic, social,
and cultural rights. have never been regarded as fundamental.

I. Example/Situation:
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has implemented a "war on drugs'' campaign that has
slaughtered over 12,000 Filipinos, innocent or not. Additionally, the majority of the killed
Filipinos are from the urban poor. On that note, the Philippine National Police has been
blamed for at least 2,555 of the fatalities.

II. Creation of Laws and Regulations for Human Rights Protection


Today, Human Rights Watch is urging the UN to launch an independent international
investigation into the executions. Duterte's repeated calls for anti-drug executions could be
construed as incitement to murder by law enforcement. These investigations were
continuously being blocked by the Duterte administration hence that Duterte repeatedly
telling the Human Rights watch that the campaign was fair.

Stance: The Duterte Administration shouldn’t be afraid to accept the investigation if they
had nothing to do with extra judicial killings. Hence, as president of the Philippines of maybe
in good or bad situation, he must be responsible and accountable for what he has done and
what is not because to the extent that he has powers to do so, he has no right to oppress and
deprive a right of a human person no matter status that they had.
