Discuss your firm’s history with that of Amazon’s. How did yours start, how well did
yours do at first and explain the similarities/differences

Investment Decision

For each group member, the portion of the presentation regarding investment
should be viewed. Compare a possible decision to invest with that of amazon’s.

What are some reasons that an initial investment in amazon may be riskier than
investing in the firms of your group partners?

What are some things that you think would make investing in amazon wiser than
the firms of your group partners? Imagine you are considering Amazon in 1994
not 2019.

How does the direction Bezos took Amazon compare with the plan for the firms of

Did Amazon purchase any other companies once it became successful? Are any of
the other firms in your group planning on doing that?

Return on Investment

Of the members of your group, which firm would you feel safest in investing in?

What type of return are they offering? If you buy stock, what will you get in
return?

What kind of return do investors in Amazon get? Do they get a dividend or not?

Why would a company NOT offer a dividend to their shareholders? Why would it
make sense to not offer a dividend?

CONCLUSION

After evaluating each of the firms in your group, inform them as to whether or not you
are willing to invest. Also provide them with some feedback as to what they might do
differently better.
