STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I, undersigned, Anjali Rajesh Radadiya wish to pursue my master's degree at Royal Melbourne Institute of
Technology, Australia.

Family Background:

To begin with, there are 4 members in my family including me. My father, Mr. Rajesh Kalubhai Radadiya, is
the cornerstone of our family and works hard to win the bread for our family. He is a great mentor for all of
us. My father is in Business. My mother Mrs. Ansoya Rajesh Radadiya is a Housewife. And one younger
brother [Link] Rajesh Radadiya, graduated from Mumbai University with a bachelor's degree in Bachelor
of Computer Application. Especially, my parents are the encouragement behind my decision to study in
Australia and sponsoring my study expenses.

Academic Background:

I have completed my S.S.C (10 th grade) in March- 2015 with 60.80% from Maharashtra State Board of
Secondary and Higher Secondary Education and H.S.C (12 th grade) in February – 2017 with 45.08% from the
same educational board. After my schooling, I have completed Bachelors of Mass Media as a major subject
with 6.69 CGPA from Kes Shroff College affiliated with University of Mumbai in October- 2020.

Theoretical knowledge of any concept is a half battle won as it lacks practical exposure and hence it becomes
very essential to acquire practical aspect of the various concepts that are being taught in the classroom. While
completing my graduation I was also pursuing a graphics and animation which is AAIP- VFX course in Arena
animation from Mumbai in 2016 to 2018. The course helped me to learn graphics and animation with the
modern boom of social media and internet marketing it has become more important than ever to produce
quick and easily consumable media. In the last few years, I have developed an interest in the processes and
thoughts behind effective logo design. A logo not only needs to represent a brand perfectly and timelessly, but
it needs to subtly communicate key brand ideals, evoke positive emotion and foster easy recognition. I have
therefore chosen to apply for a Masters of Communication Design to better understand the artistries behind
effective logo design and continue to develop my skills in customer communication and software usage.

During my undergraduate I completed a summer internship with a large media company. My main role
involved working with the package design team where I built upon my skills in teamwork. Working on package
design also allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of the influences effective graphic design can have
on a consumer market. While the focus was on packaging, which is no longer my intended specialism, I knew
logo design would be a better fit as I found the most enjoyment in constructing effective visual designs. While
there are many elements that go into building and marketing an effective product, the use of shape and colour
to catch the eye resonated with me the most

As I began to discover where my passion lay, I took on freelance work to help nurture my skills and build a
reputation. The majority of my work has involved creating logos and banners for small YouTube channels. This
has allowed me to work with a range of demographics and gain considerable experience of the design process-
from the customer’s conception to the final piece. Freelancing has also allowed me to develop my skills in
communication and learn how to balance the customer’s wants against my personal recommendations and
expertise.
While I enjoy my current freelance work, I aspire to break into the larger market and work with international
businesses and help create logos that will become recognised around the world. The guidance and teaching
that you offer on your Masters course will help me learn to refine my skills in design software and effective
visual creation. Moreover, I look forward to working with new and exciting briefs that will better replicate the
industry I am aiming to enter.

English Proficiency:

I have appeared PTE – Pearson test of English exam and score overall 64. With individual score as mentioned
below-

Listening – 66
Speaking - 76
Writing - 65
Reading – 58

Work Experience:

I decided to gain some knowledge from open market so I started working with the company, “Code
Influencer” I joined the company from September 2, 2020 to till date I am working with them as a “Graphic
Designer” on a full time basis. During my employment I worked as a professional and with enthusiasm with
this company. I have decided to enhance my resume by acquiring an international degree with exposure.
Moving forward my decision to explore overseas education and masters myself in my dedicated field, lead me
to join Deakin University and I have decided to join the Masters of Creative Arts which will help me to grow
personally and professionally going forward.

Why I Choose Australia:

There are various reasons for choosing Australia as my next academic destination. The most compelling
one is the diversity on Education as it is well known that institutions in Australia offer a wide variety of courses
and degrees, so international students can easily find an appropriate university and field for a bright future.
Australia is also a major contributor to global research which makes it a great choice for international students.
Also, the environment and weather are much similar to that of India making it a suitable place to land. Australia
is home to some of the world's most prestigious higher education institutions and universities, which provide
cutting-edge academics. The GO8, or Group of Eight Leading Universities in Australia, is a shining example of the
country's excellent education and is much sought after by Indian students. The education system is more
practical and career oriented with a good international impression which can help students to prepare
themselves for the competitive job market and to cope up with demanding challenges at work. This system is
carefully regulated by the Australian government in order to maintain the high standards of education
associated with the country.

Some of the benefits of living in a multicultural society include wonderful culinary offerings, public
international celebrations and the chance to learn a different language. Australians speak English, which makes
it easy for most international students to understand and be understood. Australia’s standard of living is among
the highest in the world. Living expenses and tuition costs are considerably lower in Australia than they are in
the United States and the United Kingdom. International students are able to work full-time according to new
norms while they study, allowing them to offset their living costs. There is also the possibility of scholarships,
which can help to lower the cost of studying in Australia for international students. Friendly environment, top-
quality education with innovative teaching styles, interactive classrooms, projects, and visual presentations and
many more features have made the country an ever-welcoming destination for international students. All public
and private institutions meet with Australian standards and must be registered on CRICOS (The Commonwealth
Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students) to provide education to international students. In
addition, all the rights of international students are protected by ESOS framework. Moreover, I found that the
Australian weather is almost similar to India comparatively other countries, this thing attracts me to choose
Australia for further study. I am also attracted by the multicultural and peaceful cities with impressive health
and safety standards, low crime rate, considerably affordable living expenses than other countries and has
comfortable learning environment.

The level of scientific research is one of the most tempting aspects of the country for overseas students.
Australia is at the cutting edge of technological advancements. Australian students can take use of the country's
strong technological and scientific capabilities. The Australian Technology Network (ATN) is made up of the
University of Technology Sydney, RMIT University, the University of South Australia, and Curtin University, four
of Australia's most innovative and enterprising universities.

Why not study in India and Choice of Australia over other foreign countries:

The most prominent reason for studying Australia and not in India is that I will be gaining international
exposure in Australia and this will not be possible in India. Moreover, to get admission in Indian universities,
we require to clear many competitive exams like GATE, CAT, etc. whereas, in Australia, English exams are
enough to get admission. In addition to that, Australian Universities provide good campus, library, research
programs and practical education is up to the mark as compared to India. While I was aware that many of the
foreign universities offer equally well, in fact, better training and education and its Engineering degrees are
recognized globally and definitely, international exposure would be an added advantage. Overseas universities
provide good campus, library, research programs and practical education is up to the mark as compared to
India. Before deciding to study in Australia, I researched on universities in USA and UK also. I looked at safety
and financial aspect of these countries; USA and UK are costlier to me due to currency conversion rates of USD
to INR which is 75.90 And GBP which is 99.95 while AUD is 55.59 INR.

Why I Want to Study at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology?

I have searched a lot for selecting the campus for my further study and eventually I choose Deakin University.
It ranks among the world’s top 300 Universities and it ranks among the Australia’s Top 25 Universities.
Moreover, Graduates from this University are some of the most sought after in Australia because of the
University’s reputation as one of Australia’s leading work integrated learning institutions and outbound
mobility programs and close partnerships with industries based in both regional metropolitan Australia.
Graduates from Deakin University have some of the best employment outcomes. The University also
comprises of an entire center that is specifically focused on student success. In student Communications team
is also on hand to keep Deakin University students up-to-date with the latest university news, important study
information, existing student opportunities, events and activities, with all information being shared online, via
email and on the University’s official social media channels.
One of the reasons to choose Deakin University over others is that I surfed through various universities in
Australia, like Swinburne University. But the fees structure of university were higher than the one that is being
set by Deakin University and also provides scholarship for all courses to the international students, these are
the considerations which made me to select Deakin University over other Universities.

Why Masters of Creative Arts?

As I prepare to earn my Master’s degree in Creative Arts, I am eager to continue my education in the most
inspiring and challenging setting possible, which leads me to apply Master’s program in Art Education. Through
Master studies I hope to improve my creative abilities, broaden my point of view, and cultivate the ability to
be both an innovative artist and an influential teacher. In my native country, the arts are often viewed as a
diversion or a hobby rather than a serious field of study, which is why I feel compelled to go to the Australia,
where the arts are much more respected and developed. The Master program, with its abundant resources
and diverse student body, can give me inspiration and training beyond what would be possible if I remained in
my native country, and I am thus very much looking forward to commencing my Masters studies.

As a Graduated, I have cultivated the independent abilities that a creator must have. I view artistic creation as
a behavioral process of self-discovery and satisfaction, and it is therefore vital for artists to observe the world
around them. My professors have taught me how to complete an art creation on my own, transforming the
objects around me into my own creative language. I have developed a particular interest in Creative Arts and
an aspiration to work as an arts educator in the future, and I believe that the abilities that I have developed
will help support my further research and creative productions as a Master student. The creative arts sector
has developed beyond jobs that were once only associated with art schools. Many mainstream careers in
creative arts combine the use of technology with an aptitude for design and visualisation.

The positive aspect which I think, I can bring to the university is recognition around the globe. I believe my
attachment to the work can bring something innovative to the world which can make me and the university
feel proud about. Also, once I will complete my Master degree I will have an opportunity in some MNC’s as a
Fine artist, Illustrator, Graphic designer, Advertising art director and also many more.

After completion of my course my Future plans:

After completion of my post-graduation from Australia, I will be coming back to my home country, as I am very
attached with my family and it is my responsibility to take care of my parents at their old age as I am the
younger Daughter of the family, also my parents have invested a lot in our home country which in future it will
inherit to me as well as my elder brother. So to take care of our property and other belonging I need to be in
my home country.

Completion of Post-Graduation from Australia will open many opportunities where I can apply for the
companies such as Infosys, Wipro, Reliance, Myntra and Tata. I would get job position of Graphic Designer,
Professional artist, Illustrator, Animator, Print maker. Moreover, I would like to work in my homeland as there
are plenty of opportunities to work in recognized multi-national companies with an internationally recognized
degree. Thus getting a post-graduate degree from your institute will provide me the ladder which would take
me to achieve my goals.
