CPR -BLS Script
Case Scenario No. 1: Adult
You are alone on your break, and as you get ready to enter the elevator to go to the lunchroom you saw a
middle-aged co-worker, known diabetic and on antihypertensive medication for 7 years. You said hello and
asked how he is doing. He narrated that he had to see the Company Physician at the Occupational Health
Clinic because he took a new antihypertensive which seems to make him cough. But he said that his
spouse has been coughi9ng and with a fever for 2 days after her trip from China. Suddenly he removed his
mask as he clutched his chest in pain. “I cannot breathe”, your co-worker said. You noticed that his lips are
turning bluish; he then trips and falls to the ground unconscious. A bystander who does not know CPR is
present. What would you do?
Scene 1: Me exiting door and walking down the hallway
Scene 2: Video about middle aged (PT) talking to soemeones as she/he is ready to end the conversation
and met me (the HCP)
Scene 3: I said my greeting and asked how she/he is doing and then mah chichika ganun (for at least 10
seconds)
Scene 4: He/she removed the masked (PT) then clutched at his/her chest and said “I cannot breathe”
Scene 5: Video about his/her lip (make up nalang) that it was turning blue
Scene 6: He/she (PT) fell on the ground unconscious…
Scene 7: the HCP is shocked and indecisive clip….
Step 1: Check if the scene is safe
**Looking around**
Step 2: Tap and shout “Are you okay?”
** lift chin and check pulse and breathing” **
Step 3: Direct the bystander to call 911 and get and AED.

Step 4: Cover
**cover yourself with mask and the person**
Step 5: Chest Compressions – 30; 2 until help arrives
**begin chest compressions**
