Everything started when I was in 4th year high school.

It is a part of my life where I decided on


what I could be in the future. I decided to be a successful engineer given my passion on
Mathematics and Science subjects. On that time, I didn’t think that things can’t go the way you
want.
On all the college entrance tests that I took, I was admitted by reconsideration at the University
of the Philippines Extension Program in Pampanga. On their 3 programs, I chose BA Business
Economics. It is quite hard for me to take this path instead of going the path I really looked
forward and want to. I decided to face this new path. I joined an organization called Association
of Economic Students in order to gain new friends and too increase my passion on the path that I
took. At the 2nd year of my study, I struggled on my major subjects. I don’t know what to do
because I don’t have other options to shift to the course that I really want. I asked the university
administrator if they can allow me to transfer to the main campus to shift to engineering but they
didn’t allow me. There is a policy for students who are reconsidered to first finish the course
before they can transfer to other UP campuses. Given the situation, I made a decision to take a
risk to shift to engineering at the Mapua University, which is the path that I really want and my
mom agreed to my decision. . She took all the means even uncertain of the outcome. She often
tells me not to surrender in every situation. I have to have a big leap of faith amidst our struggles
especially when it comes to our finances. Thank God by His grace that the risk that I took paid
off and it is been almost two years since I transferred here in Mapua.

Education is really important to each individual. It brings out the best in each of us and helps us
overcome life challenges. In order to finish my degree, I really need help as much as possible. I
am knocking at your good hearts in order to help me achieve my dream. I will do my best to on
my studies to finish my degree. When I am in a better place, I would also like to help to students
who really want to finish their studies but don’t have the means to pay for the expenses. I want to
contribute something at least that would benefit the majority. I want to be a blessing to others
too. That is my dream Ma’am and Sir. Thank you for this opportunity. God bless your good
hearts.
