We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Test Engineer who will be responsible for planning, design, execution,
and analysis of a system testing regimen for a phase of product development. Extensive laboratory work with blood
collection equipment (specifically apheresis systems) is involved to accomplish system integration, evaluation of
system performance, design verification, and design validation.
This is a full-time position located in our Lake Zurich, IL Corporate office.
Responsibilities include:
Plan, design, execute, document, and analyze a regimen of tests to evaluate, verify, or validate a system in
one phase of development (e.g., one software release). Identify coverage of risks, requirements,
architectural components, functions and performance; identify appropriate regression tests; assess risk and
organize the test plan around risk priorities; analyze results, state conclusions, and assess residual risk after
tests are complete; assess adequacy of support for conclusions by the test results.
Use computer-based tools to link tests to requirements, using cases, or other design documents; update test
documents as design documents change.
Identify appropriate methods for test cases (e.g., decision table testing; fault injection and recovery; dry,
saline or blood run; fractional factorial experiment).
Apply regulations, guidance, and standards on design verification and design validation to test activities and
work products; manage documentation for compliance with standard operating procedures.
Manage the linkages among and versions of test objects: plans, requirements, test objectives, test scripts,
test case records, and system issues.
Identify causes and mechanisms of system issues identified during testing, and convene design reviews
where needed.
Organize test records and ensure that records are indexed and archived, and can be retrieved.
Collaborate with other functional groups to accomplish a complete verification of a design during one phase
of a product's development.
Collaborate with customers and functional groups in customer evaluations, usability tests, clinical studies,
and design validation.
Requirements
BS degree in Engineering: biomedical, systems, mechanical, electrical, or software engineering preferred
3-5 years of related engineering experience with demonstrated capability in laboratory work, software or
system testing, and test design and data analysis
Ability to troubleshoot microprocessor-controlled systems
Strong attention to detail, methodical, and hands-on in a development lab environment for test execution
Ability to multitask with strong problem solving. organizational and analytical skills
Excellent written/verbal communication and strong team player
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with cross functional teams

Requirements What you bring to our winning team:
>Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, and min 3 years of testing
experience in IT projects.
