How to Make a Scatterplot:
1. Click the + button and then click the table option.
2. In x1, type in your x-values.
3. In y1, type in your y-values.
4. Desmos will graph your data points. You may have to adjust your zoom size. If you click the
wrench in the top right corner, you can change the x- and y-values that the graph will show or just
manipulate the graph by stretching it or moving it around.
How to Find the Least Squares Regression Line (Linear Regression):
1. Input your data.
2. In the next line, under your table, type in y 1 m x 1+ b. This will draw in the Least Squares
Regression Line and give you the slope (m) and y-intercept (b).
How to Find a Quadratic Regression:
1. Input your data.
2
2. In the next line, under your table, type in y 1 a ( x1 ) +b x 1 +c . This will draw in the quadratic curve.
How to Find an Exponential Regression:
1. Input your data.
x
2. In the next line, under your table, type in y 1 a ( b ) . This will draw in the exponential curve.

How to Find Residuals and Create a Residual Plot:
1. Input your data.
2. Find the Linear, Quadratic, or Linear Regression.
3. Hit plot next to the Residuals e1. This fills in the table with a new column that contains all of the
residual values. It also creates the residual plot.
How to Find the Sum of Residuals Squares:
1. Have your LSRL.
2. In the next line, type in total((e1)2). This will sum up the residuals (e1) after they are all squared.
How to Clear Items in [Link]:
1. Click the X at the end of the lines that you want to delete.
