CHAPTER 1

A. INTRODUCTION
This part of the chapter 1 is the introduction on what your research is about. It highlights the
whole body of the research. Which is this gives you an idea to what the research is about. It also
gives you main purpose of the said research.
B. BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
The purpose of this section is to provide background and general information of the research.
Bringing about a flawless transition into the major discussion of the paper. The purpose of the
research is also to arouse curiosity among readers to get there attention. It discusses in depth
about the topic. It provides context to the information you are discussing.
C. RESEARCH PROBLEM/ STATEMENT OF THE THE PROBLEM

Is also known as “purpose statement and research questions”. It is a statement of the purpose of the
study. It has a series of questions that will help in researching the topic. The research problem must
compose of; the general Statement of the problem- describes the things how should work. And specific
sub-problems it is not a researchable problem. And they are procedural.

D. SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY


In this part is the people or institutions who’ll benefit from the study. And how they will benefit
from the study. It answers why the study is important.
E. SCOPE AND DELIMITATION
This is a description of what is included in the study from to what is not. The population under
study and the locale of the study should be described. It is details how in-depth your study is to
explore the research question and the parameters in which it will operate in relation to the
population and timeframe. The delimitation are the factors not to be included in the study. It
should be written specifically.
F. DEFINITION OF TERMS
The definition of terms are detailed explanation of the technical terms and measurements used
during data collection. This is to make standardize the data. This gives your readers an
understanding of the concepts or factors that will be discussed throughout your study, as well as
contextual information as to how you will be using those concepts in your study.
