once every 4 months, when I get back home , I make sure to spend most of the time with my
grandparents updating ourselves on what’s going on in our lives.

Yeah, as i said earlier, my grandfather is used to be a military in the army of VN. And i soon realize that
he find proud of and interested in telling about this War's time. And you know that we have a lot of things
to entertain but our grandfather only has us. So for me, talking with my grandfather is very important thing
to understand about them

I am the youngest child in the family. So I haven't actually met my grandparents I only know them through
the stories my parents told me. I love listening to those stories, I feel like I would somehow recognize
them if I met them.
Thuong Nguyen

definitely yes, although my grandma is 90 years old, she extremely enjoys reading historical books and

13:52
It's kinda a shame because I'm not really concern about my grandparents' hobbies. However, I still try my
best everyday to know more about them through my parents' stories. For example, my grandmother very
enjoys chewing betel nut and eating bread flour. Anyway I'll spend more time to take care them as much
as possible.
Ly Na
13:53
When I was a kid , I used to listen to stories which had been told by my grandparents. The stories was
their hobbies, things they had experienced during the war. My grandpa likes listening to cairojess. My
grandma loves cooking meals for family.
Trâm Nguyễn
13:53
I think that i don't have a close-knit relationship with my grandparents, maybe i was too neglectful to take
care of them. But i know that they love reading book and talk about political story. They have a big
passion on badminton, i think that is the same hobby with us. I hope that in the future we can play
badminton with each other, i want to be more closer with them
Quốc Khánh Trần
13:53
although I don't have too much time spending with my grandparents, but I do know a little bit of their
hobbies. Both my grandparents love music. But because they had to take care of 10 children, they don't
have much time for themself. When the children grown up, they used to spend their time going to pagoda,
or listening to music. They really loved their children as well as their grandchildren. Especially me,cause I
live far away from them. So whenever I visited, they always prioritised me.

the village. Sometimes he even asks me to play but I still can't play. Every time I visit him in the afternoon,
I see his old friend playing with him.
Trà Mộc

Because I'm close to my grandparents, I know what they like. My grandfather liked to listen to the radio
and was interested in the political situation. And my grandmother likes to grow flowers, she has planted a
lot of flowers around the house.

13:57
Traveling is my granny’s cup of tea. On the holiday, she always wants to take a trip to somewhere with all
members of family. About my grandpa, he is quite opposite to my grannny. He doesn’t wanna travel
because of his age

Although I don't have a chance to spend time with my grandma on a regular basis, I still remember what
she like. Whenever I visit her, I always buy bread soup because it's her favorite food. Specially, I think the
memorable moment to us is when we have a talk together, just about my weight or even my grandma's
health. It's simple, but I love the most
Hà Lê Bảo
13:57
Honestly, we talk to each other frequently so i know my granpa's hobbies like the back of my hand. My
granfa always takes a keen interest in playing sports and garden. About my granma, she's really fond of
listening classical music and cooking meal.
Long Tạ Văn
13:58
My grandmother passed away when my father was just a kid. My grandfather is still alive, and he is now
living in Thai Nguyen with my uncle. I and my parents rarely have a chance to visit him directly, so it’s
very difficult for me to understand him clearly. I just know he’s very appreciate his life now because our
family doesn’t have to suffer from poor and lacking of food.

13:58
My grandparents love spending a lot of time to plant trees in the garden, take care of his birds and
sometimes share stories of their youth with me
Yen Nhi Tran
14:00
My grandfather was very fond of chess. He plays very well, there are very few people who can beat him in
my town. Thanks to him, I can also play chess.
Hân Đinh Bảo
14:00
My grandfather died when I was a kid, so to be honest I don't remember the memories of him and me. My
grandmother still lives in the countryside with my uncle. Every time I visit, she comes to the gate to meet
my family, her face clearly showing happiness. That touched me. My grandmother and I are not really
close so I observed and saw my grandmother eat betel nut everyday so I think it's her habit as well as her
preference.
Crystal _
14:11
Well, i have to say that my grandfather is really keen on technology. Because in the pass, technology is a
new definition and it is less popular. But now it becomes such an important thing in our life and make our
life much easier. So he find technology interesting and funny. But it's still new for him . And i have to help
him alot in using and also how to apply technology in his daily life
Quốc Khánh Trần
14:12
I do think advanced technology is contributed to the generation gap, the older is slower than the young
updating new things. For example, my grandparents are absolutely clueless about technology. They only
used an old mobile phone for calling and texting. I never felt annoyed because of their behaviours as we
got along well with each other.
Xoan Đào
14:13
Honestly, I'm not a kind of a person who can be patient in a long period of time. So sometimes I may feel
a little bit annoyed with my grandparents when I am trying to tell them about my opinions or perspective of
lifestyle.
Thư Lê Nguyễn
14:14
I think My grandmother knows more about technology than me. She always use her phone for sulfing the
internet, reading news and watching her favourite shows.
yến trần
14:16
Actually, i usually have to use technology to serve my studying. So they don't get it and sometimes they
complain to me about using smartphone so much. But now my grandmother and parents are using
smartphone and they are same to me. Now they understood why I usually use phone. Then we don't
have any argument about that anymore and when I live far from home, The smartphone is so useful. We
can call to inquire together. My parents and my grandmother can reduce stress thanks to smartphone.
Ly Na
14:16
My grandparents know how to use a mobile phone not a smart phone. Although I helped them, they found
difficult using a smart phone. They only use TV to watch news everyday. They really don’t keen on
advanced technology.
Trà Mộc
14:16
my grandparents don't know about technology. They use an old mobile phone for calling. However, if my
grandparents want to learn, I'm always ready to help them. I believe if I do that, we'll bond even more
Yen Nhi Tran
14:16
My grandma use a mobile phone which would only have the simple function as listening, calling and
texting. I have repeatedly advised her to exchange for a smartphone so that she can use the internet and
other gadgets it has but she disagrees.
Hà Lê Bảo
14:17
It seems to me that, maybe because of not living under the same roof, there is no misunderstanding or
argument between my grandpa and me on the contrary, we always support and lend an ear to each other.
Going further, many individuals from older generations are having trouble keeping up with the modern
technologies and my grandpa are not the exception. However, i believe that it will be no longer a
hindrance cuz i'm trying to explain them how to use technology.
Bella Jella
14:17
All my grandparents have passed away due to the war except my grandmother but I barely talk to her.
She is nearly 90 years old right now, sometimes I go visit her and everything will be good if I spend a
short amount of time with her. But it will be a different story if I spend a whole day or more time with her
and usually, I will end up feeling no interest in talking to her. Her point of view is completely different from
mine, I know that but sometimes it's really annoying.
Võ Lệ Quyên
14:18
Only my grandfather use smartphone. He use it for calling video with my uncle or aunt. Sometimes he use
it for entertaining such as revolutionary music, reading news. But he seldom use smartphone. when he
had a problem with his phone he asked me for help. I'm always happy to fix it and show him some more
useful apps that he can use.
Bella Jella
14:18
She has an old mindset about feminism. For example, I have to sit on the corner of the bed, my backpack
has to put in the corner of the room and plenty of situations like that.
Trang Nguyen
14:19
As far as i remember, i never got angry or annoyed with my grandpa when i am taught how to use other
gadgets. My grandpa knew how to use smartphone for the last 1 month to call his children. I think it's an
honorable effort from my grandpa.
HÙY LÊ
14:20
Well , because my grandparent are also over 80 years old , they don’t get access to the internet or use
smart phone . They only connect with their relationaship by normal mobilephone . They mainly listening
the new and broadcast weather through TV or radio .
Nhi Le
14:22
My aunt gave my grandparents a smartphone. Sometimes, my grandparents miss and call video with their
descendant through zalo. Although their eye aren't clear, anyway they can open apps and listen to news
Thuong Nguyen
14:23
well, because of living in the ripe old age of 90, my grandma is incapable of using such modern
technologies. However, during this lockdown, she extremely wants to talk with her grandchildren, so that
she's finding out how to make a video call on smartphone with the assitance of my aunt.
Vy Hải
14:26
Fortunately, I have never have conflicts with my grandma. We just think that we don't even have time
enough for each other, so there's no chance for dissent. We make use of time to share a lot of things in
our life together.
