Reflection

1. Considering the development opportunities available to you

this year, how have you applied what you learned?

I have applied what I have learned in many ways since in most of

my classes we do computerized projects. We use mainly Microsoft
word and PowerPoint. With this class I have learned about these
features with detail. I have also applied what I learned at home when I
do my homework. When I do homework I know what to do because I
have learned the features of Microsoft.

2. What strengths do you posses that you can use at a higher level
next year?

I posses many strengths that I can use at a higher level next year
in Microsoft programs which includes excel, word, PowerPoint and
publisher. Strengths would be that I can focus and do my work with
patience. I also can focus more with class work and I can remember
things with just studying them for about 5 minutes.

3. What obstacles must you work through so you can meet all
your goals for this year?

The obstacles I must work my way through are annoying people

that just irritate me, my shyness when presenting, also my nervousness
and when I get frustrated. These and the stress that I get from school
are the obstacles that I need to overcome so that I accomplish my
goals. I also feel that I need to learn that things aren’t always how you
plan them to be but you must be prepared for it and work your way
through.

4. Discuss what have you learned during the class and how it will
assist you in achieving further academic and worked related
goals?

I have learned many things especially with Microsoft and doing

the webpage. In the Microsoft programs I learned things that I didn’t
know how to do and I feel that it will help me in the rest of my high
school years. It will help me do my work better since I now know many
things like how to do transitions on a PowerPoint. It will help me get
better grades since my presentations will look much better than before.

5. If you could do any assignment over this year, which one would
it be and why? Any regrets?

It would be probably a vocabulary quiz since I didn’t learn ever

single word and I may not have done such a good job in it. I don’t regret
anything I think that I always tried my best in this class and that I have
an A here because of my effort. But I do get shy when I present and
maybe that would be something that I regret because I know I could
have done better. I regret probably not paying attention in something’s
that you explained.

6. What are 3 words you would use to describe this class?

The three words that I would use to describe this class would be
noisy, frustrating and fun. This class will be noisy every day, frustrating
every time that you want us to be quiet and fun because after all we
have good laughs.

7. How did your computer skills grow or improve over the course
of the year?

My computer skills have improved greatly because now I can type

without looking at the keyboard but I feel more confident when I look
at it. I can also type faster than what I used to type when I first came in
this class. I think that I have gotten better in many computer programs
such as Microsoft because now I know how to do more things and add
animations and things like that.

8. What were your greatest challenges or lessons learned?

My greatest challenge was to keep things straight and turn them in on

time because there were many things that I had to do for this class and
also keeping track and remembering about everything that is being
taught at once is hard. There are also other things happening around
and you have to keep up with it. The lesson learned would be “don’t
give up.”
