AVML - is a non-strict Indian/Hindu vegetarian meal where meat, fish, poultry
and their products with lard or gelatins and eggs will not be used. RVML: Raw
Vegetarian is a mixture of mainly fresh vegetables and fruits normally not cooked.
2. BBML - or Baby Meal can be ordered for infants under 2 years of age (depending
on the airline, some airlines will only supply the BBML to an infant up to 10
months only) and will normally consist of pre-packaged baby meal products.
3. BLML – Bland Meal– some critics say all airline meals are bland but in this
case, the meal is designed for passengers who may have ulcers, heartburn, nausea,
vomiting, diarrhea or have undergone stomach or intestinal surgery. Includes foods
that are soft, not very spicy, and low in fiber.
4. CHML – Children Meal – some adults who swear by kid's meals for themselves as
they usually contain soft and easy to chew foods which are usually both easily
identifiable and healthy
5. DBML - A diabetic meal is a meal that has been prepared for sufferers of
diabetes. The meal should not contain sugars, syrups, jams, cakes or chocolate. The
meal should not cause an increase in blood sugar levels for the passenger.
6. FPML - or Fruit Platter meal may be ordered by people who are fasting, or
perhaps vegan/gluten-free options are not available and this special meal fits the
requirement. Generally, the FPML will contain fresh seasonal fruit only, and it may
contain dried fruit without sulphites.
7. GFML - The GFML or Gluten-Free meal is designed for those who suffer from celiac
disease or can't tolerate gluten in their diet. ... Most airlines worldwide offer a
good range of special meals.
8. HNML or Hindu Non-Vegetarian is a meal for people who follow Hindu custom. Meals
are non-vegetarian and cooked Indian style. It's one of those special meals that
confuses a lot of people, people assume because it's called Hindu that it's
vegetarian but the N stands for non-vegetarian.
9. IVML stands for Indian Vegetarian Meal, do not contain meat, eggs, dairy
products (including cheese), game, sea food or root vegetables, e.g. ginger,
garlic, onions, potatoes, etc.

11. KSML - or Kosher Meal is a meal where the food is chosen, prepared and served
in accordance with Jewish religious guidelines. The meals are packaged in double
wrapping which allows the meals to be heated in the aircraft oven that is non-
kosher.
12. LCML - LOW CALORIE MEAL is a meal of low levels of calories and suited to
people who are on a low-calorie diet. Some airlines aim to have no more than 400
calories per meal, but this will vary from airline to airline.
13. LFML or Low Fat meal is a meal of limited fat and cholesterol suited to people
who wish to follow a low-fat restricted diet. Low-fat dairy products will form part
of this meal, as will rice, potatoes, fish, lean meats, egg whites, cottage cheese,
margarine, cereals, wholegrain bread and fruit.
14. LSML - LOW SODIUM, NO SALT ADDED is suited for people with high blood
pressure, heart disease, fluid retention or kidney problems. No salt will be used
during the preparation of food, and airlines try to avoid using food that contains
added salt.
15. The MOML or Muslim is a meal that is prepared in accordance with the Islamic
tradition and custom. No Haram (forbidden) products will be used in these meals
including pork products, gelatin, alcohol, extracted flavouring from alcohol and
non-halal prepared meats.
16 . NFML - NO FISH MEAL (LH SPECIFIC)
17. NLML - NON LACTOSE MEAL is a lactose-free meal for people who are allergic or
intolerant to milk and milk products, or those suffering from low lactose levels.
Meals do not contain any milk, cheese, egg, yoghurt, butter, biscuits, cakes, ice
cream, instant soups, breaded vegetables and meat, omelettes and crepes.

WCHR - Wheelchair assistance required; passenger can walk short distance up or down
stairs.
WCHS - Wheelchair assistance required; passenger can walk short distance, but not
up or down stairs.
WCHC - Wheelchair required; passenger cannot walk any distance and will require the
aisle chair to board.
WCOB - On-board aisle wheelchair requested (for use during flight).
