bansa, sa buong mundo at sa buong universe! Ang Miss Soc Sci-Universe Season 2! We’re down with
two contestants and let us all welcome, our two finalists!

Neil: Candidate number one representing Emile Durkheim, Miss Emileé Durk-ha! *rampa ni tekla* vital

Neil: and here is Candidate number two representing Max Weber, Miss Maxima Weber-fever! *rampa

Neil: So Miss Emileé Durk-ha, how are you feeling today?
Tekla: I’m very happy that I can show the world my beauty! And of course, represent the beauty of fafa
Emile Durkheim and Lorraine, France! And of course, hi sa mga bonggang bonggang friends ko sa
College d’Epinal, Lycee Louis-Le-Grand in Paris at EcoleNormale Superieure! Don’t forget to vote!
Neil: Thank you Miss Emilee. Now, Miss Maxima, how are you nervous?
Kamille: I’m very confident right now. I’m sure my beauty and Max Weber’s will shine in this pageant
today. Hi to all my fans in Erfurt, Thungria, Prussian Saxony! Hi to tita Hellene Fallenstein na nanonood
ngayon! Sya ang nanay ni fafa Max. At hi din sa mga classmates ni fafa Max sa University of Heidelberg!
Neil: Thank you Miss Maxima. Bago tayo dumating sa pinaka-importanteng part ng pageant na to e
gusto ko muna kayong tanungin, why do you deserve this title, Miss Soc Sci-Universe? Miss Emilee.
Tekla: Well aside from the obvious that I’m very gorgeous and confident, I’m also very intelligent.
Madami akong awards and prizes sa aking mga schools, and kahit nareject ako 2 times sa EcoleNormale
Superieure dahil sa aking depression from my dad’s death, go-go-gora parin!
Neil: Bakit ka nga pala nareject sa school nay un?
Tekla: Well, di naman dahil sa boplaks me, actually, masyado kasi akong scientific kaya di ako
masyadong magaling sa mga rinerequire ng school. Pero luckily, pumasa naman ako sa 3 rd try. In
fairness! Buti nalang hindi UPCAT yun.
Neil: Ano pang mga achievements mo?
Tekla: well, nung 1887, naappoint ako ng aking mga teacher as the Officer Course Pedagogy and Social
Science. O diba, pang Miss Soc Sci talaga! Dahil dun naging part ng French curriculum and sociology,
kaya ibang level talaga ako! Tapos madami din akong pinublish, like yung Division of Labor and society,
Rules of sociological method , Le Suicide at Full Professorship at Bordeaux.
Neil: Wow ang daming achievements! E miss Maxima, may ibubuga kaba kay Miss Emilee?
Kamille: Syempre! Abay di lang sya ang beauty and brains dito! Nag-law ako sa University of Heidelberg
at university of Berlin, so ibang level din ako! May doctorate din ako when I wrote The History of
Medieval Business Organisations. After two years, natapos ko yung Habilitationsschrift, The
Roman Agrarian History and its Significance for Public and Private Law. Aside dun, 2 ang career
ko, I was a lawyer’s assistant and a university assistant. Naging Professor din ako ng Political
Economy nung 1894.
Neil: Infairness, may laban! Balita ko may fanclub ka daw, tell me more about it at iba mo pang na-
achieve.
Kamille: Ganyan talaga pag kakaiba ang beauty at talino. Well, Since nagturo nga ako, naging
central figure in the so-called "Weber Circle", composed of other intellectuals. Bongga ang fanclub ko,
ka name ko! Naging associate director pako sa Archives for Social Science and Social Welfare, kaya pang
Miss Soc Sci talaga ako! At syempre, kilalang kilala yung sinulat kong The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit
of Capitalism. Ibang level yun! At san kappa nakakita ng pageant contestant na nag-organize ng army
hospitals sa Heidelburg nung World War I? Akey lang!
Neil: Iba talaga ang level ng mga contestants natin ngayon, im sure magiging tough ang competition sa
question and answer mamaya. Pero Bago yun, tawagin muna natin ang reigning Miss Soc Sci-Universe, Si
Miss Janina Roberta Go!

Neil: Anong masasabi mo sa ating mga contestants ngayon at sa mga fans na sumoporta sayo on your
reign?
GZ: Ang masasabi ko lang is, thank you sa inyong lahat! Lalo na kila Plato, Aristotle at iba ko pang mga
classical-philosopher friends, kung di dahil sa inyo di mabubuo tong Miss Soc Sci-Universe and I wouldn’t
have been here standing before you. Thank you din kela Sir Adam Smith, Machiavelli, at Kuya Marx sa
