Research Intent
A Luxury Hotel is considered a hotel that provides a
luxurious accommodation experience to the guest. There are no set
standards (such as stars) for luxury hotels. Often 4 or 5-star hotels describe
themselves as ‘luxury’. This also means that any accommodation type can
use the term ‘luxury’.
Aim of the research- To design a resort not only for leisure activities but
also provide the guests a complete eco experience and give them a feeling
of “Home away from Home”.
Objective-
• To provide a stunning location to the travellers for the guests to truly
relax and take in the beauty around them.
• To provide unparallel services, as well as conveniences for the
guests.
• To provide outstanding décor and room interiors and create a
feeling of home away from home for the guests.
• Proposing several fun activities and amenities.
• And finally try and make the vacation of guests a memorable one.
Introduction & Brief
Description of the Luxury resorts provide almost everything a vacationer wants, all at one
topic place. Most luxury resorts offer great value given all the amenities,
entertainment options and activities available. In addition, they will also
offer special discounts or complimentary items or options to guests. These
can include anything from free personalized excursions, bottles of wine, spa
credits or babysitting to complimentary passes for local attractions, sports
lessons, 24-hour concierge service or airport transfers. This adds even more
value to an already cost-effective vacation experience.
1. There are eco-pod resorts offering gentle planet retreats that allow
you to escape the 9 to 5 while being courteous to the environment
through sleeping in these very eco pod resorts. These resorts tend to
focus on clean eating and clean resource living such as only having
limited water supplies, locally produced foods and solar power
electricity sources.
2. Island resorts cater to the need for the iconic and luxurious escape
into the middle of nowhere while being waited-on hand and foot for
every whim.
Technological
solution
Intended highlights • The tourism industry, which has suffered a sudden yet savage blow,
of the project is counting on this surge in staycations to recover. More and more
luxury hotels, resorts, homestays and other players are designing
staycation packages. This could, in turn, control the damage of the
floundering economy as well.
• With the pandemic triggering layoffs and pay cuts, employees
— especially millions who work from home — perhaps feel
the need (or are asked) to work longer and harder. In this
context, vacations seem like an indulgence. But, given the
spike in depression, a short break now may be more important
than ever before.
• Some people, due to strict travel restrictions and safety
concerns, are okay vacationing at home. But others, prefer a
nearby getaway.
Broad project
requirement
Scope & Limitations 1. SCOPE
• Project provides lot of scope for landscaping and site planning.
• Opportunity to study local culture and heritage of site.
• This project gives opportunity to deal with visual, behavioural,
technical and functional part of design.
2. LIMITATIONS-
• Limited research and study on feasibility of project.
• Detailed environment assessment will not be done due to limitation
to knowledge in the field.
