PERSONAL OBSERVE (O) DATA RESULTS
QUALITIES INTERVIEW (I) I have found out that. . . .
a. Dignified Observe The teacher that I have observed showed what
dignified is in the class because she practiced
everyone to show respect to one another regardless
of the gender, sexual orientation and religion of the

another’s point of view.
b. Healthy Observe The teacher that I have observed is healthy in a way
wherein she is very focus on teaching the students,

positive environment to the students. Another thing,
before the start of the discussion the teacher is
greeting everyone and then she reminded everyone to
eat healthy foods and have exercise even if they are
at home since we’re still having a pandemic and
because of that I realized that, the teacher is eating
healthy foods because she encouraged her students
too in order for them to be healthy. Lastly, she’s also
well dressed and blooming before she entered the
class.

whenever she gave her students activities or
presentations. Another thing, she never humiliates her
students she doesn’t want to feel her students that
she’s superior. She allows everyone to share their
opinions and in this way, the teacher shows that the
students that she’s handling are all equal and that
they are free to speak what’s on their mind where this
also practice her students on listening to others.
While during the interview, she told me that she loves
all of her students despite of their differences she
accepts them all. She also said that whenever her
student did something good she initially congratulated
them because she appreciates them and that it can
make the students be better learners and motivated all

experience in teaching sometimes she also learn from
her students too.
f. Determined Observe Interview The teacher that I have observed possess a

lot of activities so that students will enjoy and after the
lesson and activities she prepared she reminded
everyone that learning may be tough right now
because of the situation they must need to continue
on learning and keep forward on their future.
While during the interview, the teacher said that she
needs to be hardworking in teaching her students
because she believes that as a teacher she’s one of
the most influential person to the life of her students

activity by the rubrics she prepared.
While during the interview, she said that she needs to

ANALYZE
Answer the following questions:
1. In Activity 1, what do you consider as the 3 most outstanding significant
personal qualities of the teacher you chose as your case? Why do you consider
these as outstanding?
Answer:
a. Dignified
b. Knowledgeable
c. Determined
I’ve chosen these three as outstanding out of those personal qualities of the
teacher because it is important in order to become a better teacher. First is dignified
wherein we all know that as a teacher the students that we’re handling are all different
from one another in terms of their beliefs, characteristics, culture and etc. that’s why as
a teacher you must accept all of your students despite of their differences and let them
understand what diversity is because by that this will practice your students to be better
citizens in their communities.
Next is the knowledgeable, this is important because teachers are said to be one
of the most influential persons to the life of the students which is very crucial that’s why
as a teacher you must be very well-prepared before entering the class and that, you
masters what you’re going to teach so that, students will learn from you and be able to
acquire the knowledge you taught to them and apply this in their daily lives.
Lastly, is the determined quality of a teacher meaning as a teacher you must
show determination in the class wherein you’re the one who will motivate them to do
better or do their best in every task that you’re going to give them. Another thing, a
teacher must be open for changes like on what we’re experiencing right now wherein
we’re having a pandemic a teacher must learn how to adjust on situations. A teacher
must be more focused on thinking how they are going to provide an effective learning
for the students.
2. Which if these qualities do you have? Do you think you can fit as a good
teacher someday? Why? Describe yourself.
Answer:
The qualities that I have are dignified, determined and humble. I think I can fit as
a good teacher someday because I already possess these qualities but I still believe
that it still needs improvement as time passes by. Well, I can describe myself as a
teacher wherein I’m always prepared before entering the class wherein I master the
subject that I’m going to teach to my students. I want to make sure that my students are
learning from me and also by allowing them to ask questions whenever they don’t
understand something and provide the answers that they need. I also see myself as a
teacher that is humble in a way that I want my students to be comfortable with me
wherein they can share their problems and I don’t want to be a strict teacher because I
don’t want them to feel that I’m superior to them. I just want them to have a confortable
learning environment without any pressure. And lastly, I see myself as a teacher who
motivates my students I want them to prioritize their goals in life and be strong to pursue
their dreams in order for them to have a better future.
REFLECT
Identify one personal characteristic of your model teacher that has made a great impact
in your life as a learner. Reflect and describe how this quality influenced you.
Answer:
One of the personal characteristic that my model teacher made a great impact in
my life as a learner is that, she motivated me to improve my self-confidence in speaking
in front of the class because way back in high school I was so shy in speaking in front of
other people but then again, our teacher that time asked us to recite a memorized poem
in front of the class and that time no one is raising their hands including me but one of
my seatmate knows that I’m good at memorizing speech, poems and etc. she told our
teacher about it and then, I had no choice but to go in front of our class and recite one
of the poem that I’ve known after that, my teacher and the whole class clapped their
hands. Our teacher told me that I’m good in speaking and that I have good
pronunciation of words and because of that experience the impact of this in my life as a
learner is that, I practiced reading a lot and made this as my hobby the reason why my
speaking skills are improved. I became a good actress whenever there’s a role play
presentations in the class because I’m good at memorizing plus, I also have confidence
in my acting skills. I’m so thankful to her because that was the day that someone
believed in me, someone believed that I can and someone believed that I can conquer
my fear in speaking in front lastly, I owe her a lot because that is the moment where I
started to believe within myself and my capabilities as a person.

ANALYZE
Answer the following questions:
1. In Activity 2, do you consider the Teacher as a Professional Teacher? In what
competencies is the teacher strong? Weak? Doubtful? Why?
Based on the checklist, we consider Mrs. Ellen V. Patungan as a professional
teacher since she almost perfected the professional competencies based on what we
have observe as we do class observation in her class. Practicing Code of Ethics,
teaching with mastery, teaching with compassion, ans serves willingly beyond teaching
of work are her strengths as a professional teacher. On the other hand, we observed
that she seldom use the updated in educational trends and also she seldom use varied
teaching method thus we conclude that these are her weaknesses. But this doesn’t
mean she don’t do it, maybe she is more comfortable in using the method she used to
before. Despite of that, students were able to learn from her and gain knowledge. Above
all the professional competence, we are doubtful with only one because we are not so
sure if she’s letting the parents and other stakeholders engage in educating the
students especially the parents of her students specifically in her time of lecture. In
conclusion, she is a competent professional teacher.
REFLECT
Complete the following sentences as your reflections from the results of Activity 2.
1. As a future teacher, the results imply that I (we) should always ensure that we
possessed professional competencies in teaching. It also implies that as early as today,
we should practice all those competencies and build the professional characters of a
professional teacher. Professionalism is a must in this kind of work environment
especially that we are rendering our service to the future professionals of this country.
We are the molders of the future generation, and without those competencies and
characteristics, we wont be able to help them be what they suppose to become in the
future.
2. If all the teachers teaching today possess the professional characteristics and
competencies as the teacher/teachers observed then learners will be secured in gaining
the knowledge they deserve. The learners will also become ‘glocally’ and globally
competent because the teacher already equip them with the knowledge they need in
facing the real world. Also, if these traits of their teachers are present, they might also
adopt the practice when they are already in their chosen field.
