Albert Adusei Brobbey

Reflective Statement
As part of the requirement to complete the Global Marketing Strategy course, my
team and I were assigned a case about the famous watch brand Maurice Lacroix and
some related questions to tackle. I was there assigned the fourth question of the
case study of the famous watch brand Maurice Lacroix. In the course of the group
work I ascertain my strength which I believe was the fact I was so dedicated to the
work assigned to me and very adaptable. I was also flexible to the working habits and
personalities of my team members. Collaborating with teammates who prefer to work
remotely because of the Covid 19 situation, i needed to be conversant with tools
like Zoom for video conferencing and Google docs for managing our projects. I could
manage my time in such a way that we could finish the project ahead of time,
however my weakness was the fact that I wasn’t self-satisfied with my submission
and due to that I had to keep discussing my submissions with my other partners at
every phase of the project.

Research among students is quite vital as I learnt ideal possibilities to try new
techniques for problem solving. We were also more open to new ideas. The thinking
is that, hearing different opinions lead to changes in views, and therefore results in
more willingness to hear new ideas. Working in a group is not always easy however
my Group members usually felt far more satisfied by achieving a good result than
working alone.
Perhaps the most important aspect I would have changed during our team work
would have been identifying individual strength and weakness first rather than
assigning roles without abject analysis of individual strength and weakness. Being
aware of the strengths and weaknesses of group working puts you in a far stronger
position to address both.
However, I have come to the realization that working in groups can help me develop
a host of skills that are increasingly important in the professional world
With these acquired knowledge I believe it has helped prepare me become more
useful at the workplace as many companies require tasks to be completed in teams
with the teams functioning to best of their abilities.
