1. Welcome

I would like to welcome you as a new student of the University of Portsmouth


(University).

You have been registered on the Foundation Year (Civil) course, delivered under a


dual collaborative arrangement with the Military Technological College.

2. Name

Please can I ask you to check that your name has been correctly spelt and is your full
name as it would appear on official documents such as a passport or birth certificate.  If
there is an error please let me know.

Your name will be printed on your certificate/transcript as: Dawoud Sulaiman Saif Al


Shamli

3. Your Contract with the University

By being registered with the University you agree to be bound by the terms and
conditions set out in the attached Declaration Statement document.  You may be
subject to additional regulations and contractual terms and codes of conduct of
the Military Technological College that you must meet in order to continue your
studies.

4. Student ID Number and Username

You have been assigned a unique University student ID number, which


is 2106079 and your username is UP2106079.  Please keep this number safely as
should you need to contact the University you will be asked to provide it.

5. Activating your Student Account

To activate your account please click here and follow the instructions on screen.  You
should be able to activate your account straight away but if you experience any
difficulties please contact our IS Service Desk in the first instance either via email
at servicedesk@[Link] or telephone +44 23 9284 7777.
6. Student view and accessing the Library

Once you have activated your account, you will be able to login to the following areas:

Student View where you can view the course and modules you have been registered on
as well as your results - Please note: the 'View Timetable' link is not applicable to you
at this time.

Library where you can access the Library's online resources.

7. Applying for a Student Card

You will need to wait 24 hours after activating your Student Account before you can
apply for a Student Card, should you wish to have one.  To apply for a student card
please click here and follow the instructions on screen.

Once your card has been printed it will be posted to the Military Technological
College for onward distribution to you.

If you experience any difficulties in applying for your Student Card, please contact our
IS Service Desk in the first instance either via email at servicedesk@[Link] or
telephone +44 23 9284 7777.

8. University Email Address

A University Google email account will be generated for you to use, should you wish to.

Your email address will be your Username followed by @[Link].  You can login
to your email account by clicking here.  Your password will be the same as the one you
set when activating your account.

The use of this Google email account is subject to the University's Student Email Policy.

If you experience any issues with logging in to your email account, please contact our
IS Service Desk in the first instance either via email at servicedesk@[Link] or
telephone +44 23 9284 7777.
