TRANSFER PUMP PRESSURE CALCULATION

LITER/SEC = 3.93

Pipe Dia = 80mm = 3”

Loss of Head =0.012 (from chart)

Friction Loss = 41m x 0.012m

= 0.492m
= 0.0492 bar

Fitting Loss =0.0492 x 50%

=0.0246 bar

Outlet pr. required =0.5 bar (1bar higher side)

=1.0 bar

Static head =33.85m

=3.385 bar

Total Pressure = (Friction loss + Fitting loss) + Static head + Outlet pressure
= (0.0492 + 0.0246) + 3.385 + 1.0
= 4.46 bar

Transfer pump head = 4.46 bar

25% as Safety Margin= 4.46 x 1.25

Transfer Pump Head = 5.57 bar

Pressure required = 5.57 bar
