“THE YELLOW PROPAGANDA”

The video narrates how this yellow propaganda started and where it is coming from. I noticed that it
also talks about wealth and power of Cojoangco. From Ysidra Cojuangco to Noynoy and Cory we can see
that their wealth and power reign for a long period. Yes! Indeed, that they become the most powerful
and most influential family but the question is, do they use it well for our country? Why they didn’t give
justification to all farmers before. They just wanted wealth and power for themselves and to be well
known.

In the video, Ninoy was labeled as a hero because he said that he died for the country for trying to end
the Martial Law. But did we all think of what he was trying to do after it? He was going for his ambition
to become president. For what? For power. Cory was labeled as a saint because she started the People
Power Revolution to also end the Martial law. She then became president, letting her gain the title of a
saint for protecting the people. But really, she wanted to protect those of her same level, the oligarchs.
Kris was labeled as Magdalene because she was put on the pedestal of being the queen of media and
everyone liked her. Ninoy a rock star, because he took credit for the things he didn’t really do. This
family gained these titles but most of the people in the Philippines don’t really understand why they’re
titles are like that.

Social media didn’t exist that time and websites were nothing over simply a slum book sticker geocities
types. Before, information appreciate these will solely be browse by a really few individuals. if you quit
and say things like these you'll be labelled a fool. today, additional and more people are exposed to
information that they actually need to know. The more public awareness and transparency, the higher
the society awareness is.

I agree with the video, what I notice and disagree with, is that the people doing the videos try to make it
look like since Aquinos are criminals, therefore the Marcoses are good and they are actually
misunderstood benevolent people who only thinks of the welfare of the people and the country. Which
for me is kind of a pathetic, ignorant and theatrical. Sort of like when you watch a movie, threre’s the
villain and the hero. Unfortunately, thats not how it is in real life.
