1.

Lesson
I have acknowledged some new terms in this topic. As I’ve read, The TPACK framework emphasizes the
kinds of knowledge that lie at the intersections between three primary forms: Pedagogical Content
Knowledge (PCK), Technological Content Knowledge (TCK), Technological Pedagogical Knowledge
(TPK), and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK).
TPACK is the basis of effective teaching with technology, requiring an understanding of the
representation of concepts using technologies. Secondly, I was also introduced the impact of technology
on teaching and learning languages. Using technology is truly helpful for teachers to teach foreign
languages such as Chinese, English, etc. As a result, the advancement in technology has “allowed the
educators to be more creative” and therefore more efficient and effective teaching online or offline.
2. The most interesting activities
In my opinion, the most attractive activity is the Q&A in the first part of the lesson which teacher asked
the whole class to write our knowledge, expectation for this course and then posted them in the Padlet. I
like this activity because, thanks to this QA, our teacher will have better understanding about our class’s
thinking in this course. Therefore, we can come to the agreement for this course.
3. The most challenging activity
The most challenging activity is making acquaintance with Canvas because I haven’t used this website for
learning online before. However, after spending time setting my own profile as well as read some files in
the first topic of the module, I can use this as a useful tool to study.
4. My suggestions
Actually in the first lesson, we spent lots of time setting our profile and introducing this Canvas platform,
therefore we did not have many other learning activities. I hope we can prepare carefully before the
lesson, then we will have more chance to learn new modules.
