What are some of the issues to consider in determining whether the Internet would provide your

business with a competitive advantage?

3Cs: A way through the eye of the needle

The internet undeniably gives excellent leverage in leading businesses to success since most of
the marketing and promotion of the company operates here. It also offers many features that can
attract potential customers and even acquire loyal customers. The challenging part here is that every
business makes use of it, making the competency level so high, and standing out is like an "eye of a
needle" that would be very hard to slip through to the top. Hence, in deciding how to make use of the
potentials of the internet to your advantage, you need to take into consideration the 3C's: Cost,
connectivity, and Convenience

Cost. Using the right internet services, you must ensure that your company can handle the cost it offers.
Take in mind that the internet is very costly. So, you must be vigilant in choosing a feature that can help
you meet your goals but at the same time does not strain your finances. Know that the internet must
give you profit, not indebted you with so much cost.

Connectivity. Secondly. You must take into account the internet's connectivity to the customers. You
have to see that the internet can help you find prospective customers and even gain their loyalties. Also,
take note that the internet has a vast audience, and to attain success, you have to reach those niches of
people that can guarantee the interest in our products and services, so you must make sure that the
internet feature you get can achieve this. Doing this will help promote your business and even gain
popularity, making it noticeable in the market since many people will get interested.

Convenience. Lastly, the emergence of technology made us humans impatient and wants things by just
a finger snap. The company must adopt this reality to achieve its advantage. That is why a company
must look into the internet's potential to offer this convenience to its customers. A convenience that
would meet the demand of the people with less hassle. Giving this convenience to the customers gives
them a reason to come back again to the company. Thus, boosting its loyal customers and even getting
new customers since those loyal customers will spread the word of how good your business is in
meeting their demands conveniently, and then people will get interest on why many people are
patronizing your company ended up gaining more customers.

In the wake of the 4th Industrial Revolution, smartphones have become the single-most-important
digital device we own. Discuss the implications of this statement.

The Realities Outside Your Smartphones

The arousal of technological advancement in our times had made us cling to it because of the
array of things it can do to make our life so easy. One very known technological advancement we have
today that almost every human beings have is the smartphone. It is one of the things that the majority
of people cannot live without. It offers us so many things that we can use in our everyday lives, like
studying, researching, finding locations, entertainment, communications, and many more. The
statement of smartphones hailed as the "Single-most-important device" is not a shocker because it is
evident how humans are so reliant on their phones that it seems like they had become their source of
life, thinking that life would be worthless without it. This notion is what bothers me because people
being hooked to these small devices cost many relationships. People being so fixated on smartphones
makes them unaware of things around them. They are too busy with their virtual and unreal world, not
knowing that they are losing far more essential things than smartphones. Such as cherishing the time
with their loved ones, exploring the unknown world, creating more relationships that would give us
unmeasurable memories, and many more things life can offer beyond the screens that they are missing
out on. Also, we became stagnant with these smartphones since our knowledge relies on them so much,
and we became distracted from the entertainment it gives us that we no longer want to seek knowledge
on our own, blocking those great ideas we are capable of unleashing.

Just a fact about me, I do not always have a phone with me nor become reliant on it because I
do not have a phone that is actually my own. Because my father is really a disciplinarian, he wants us to
have a phone when we go to college because he knew how distractive it is for our studies. But it changes
during High School since there was a need for me to have a phone for communication, so he handed me
one of my mom's very old Nokia keypads. Yet I still do not bring it with me since it's no use since I do not
have money for a load for my father only gives us a 20 pesos allowance excluding fare cost. So,
throughout my High School, I can say that I do not have a phone. The first time I just got a touchscreen
phone was when I was in Grade 12, but it is a hand-down phone from my older brother and has so many
defects that it only lasts a year in me and ends up broken. That is why as of now, I do not have a phone.
Sorry for the long story. What I am only implying here is that I have survived 20 years of not being reliant
on smartphones. I want people to understand that they must open themselves to the world outside
their smartphones because it can really let you discover things you had never noticed, even if it is just so
close to you. Additionally, putting your smartphones down can let you improve and even learn things
about yourself since you will find yourself doing something to pass the time, and that is when you start
doing things that interest you.

What I am trying to say here is that the statement of smartphones being the single-most-
important digital device we own worries me because we have become too dependent on it that had
even given us the notion that life is empty without it. Well, as a matter of fact, life is much empty and
lonely seeing people around you looking down on their phones not interacting. It is what I have always
experience living in a life with no phone, and it also makes me look down from sadness. It is indeed true
that smartphone can connect us virtually, but in reality, it is drifting us apart from each other. Hence, for
me, the statement implies that we must limit our usage and dependence on smartphones from time to
time because we are missing out so many things that we will regret once it's gone. I can assure you, you
can live without your phone, like how I have lived without one, and life is so wonderful without it.
