meaningful roles that
a mother plays is the role of
nurturer.
Rick (my He provides support to our family role of a father is to contribute to the

or children does not lack any of the
necessities of life. The father's role is
important because it has a profound
influence on the social, emotional, and
intellectual development of a child. Fathers
have an opportunity to relive their own
father child relationship and parent their
own children in a way that contributes
positively to the child's growth and
development. Raising a child involves
father participation, a large income and
daily contact with both parents.
Processing Questions:
1. What did you discover about you and your family while doing
the activity?
I have discovered that we, as family, really do have a healthy
relationship. I discovered that the duties we do and roles we
portray helps us to maintain the happiness and richness of love
with each other. I’ve realized that those roles and duties really
helps us to nurture and strengthen the bond and the relationship
we have as a family.
2. How does having similar or different duties unite your family?
It makes us to help each other, trust each other to do our own
duties in our family and makes our bond stronger. Whether its
similar or different as long as we do our tasks and duties willingly,
it can surely unite the family
3. What is the importance of recognizing and respecting the roles
of family members in strengthening your relationships?
Roles play an extremely important part in healthy family
functioning. Most researchers agree that the establishment of
clear roles within a family is directly connected to a family's
ability to deal with day-to-day life, unforeseen crises, and the
normal changes that occur in families over time. It
is important because recognizing your roles in life is like
knowing your worth so that you'll be guided in every path you're
going to take. If you know how to perform your roles effectively,
then you can be a productive person as well. It is
also important because it serve as your guide towards your goal
in life.

Processing Questions:
1. How was your experience while completing the activity?
It was actually fun doing this because I remembered many of my
friends and relatives that I haven’t seen for month due to the
pandemic, and I’ve also realized how talented they are. I’ve
realized how they differentiate themselves from others. I have
remembered the days we used to spent together and the things
we used to do before this quarantine or pandemic happen. Like
the times we sing along, dance together, swim together, etc.
2. Who among the people around you have significant similarities
with and differences from you? Explain briefly its impact in your
relationship with them.
I think that my best friend, Delfin and I really do have many
similarities which helps us understand each other. We both have
almost the same personalities which makes us have the same
vibe. There are some differences we have which is also helpful
because those differences actually help us to help each other
when one of us is struggling. Like for example, I am better at
math so I help him when he needs my help. This similarities and
differences actually make our friendship stronger. I think that
accepting each other similarities and differences really played a
big role between us. We respect each other and we accept each
other’s flaws which really makes us vibe together.
3. How can you strengthen your relationship with the people
around you in spite of your differences?
For my own opinion, we can continue to strengthen our
relationship with others despite of our differences by doing the
value or act of respect and acceptances. If we can accept others
and their flaws, if we can learn how to not judge or discriminate
other by their appearance, if we can accept the fact that we are
all different and no one here on earth is perfect, if we can just
learn how to respect others and their own perspective, we can
strengthen our relationship with everyone and we can also help
ourselves to be a better person. If we can apply all those to things
to our behavior or to ourselves, we can have a peaceful world.

Processing Questions:
1. How did you feel while doing the activity?
I actually feel loved while doing this activity. I remember how
lucky I am to have persons like them to support and guide me in
the path I’ll take. I feel happy to remember that there are people
who I can lean on when I’m in pain or when I’m struggling.
2. What is the importance of recognizing your similarities and
differences in strengthening your relationship with others?
Recognizing our similarities and differences from other people will
help us identify who we are and later on appreciate the wholeness
of our being. Our individuality is an integral factor for us
to establish ourselves, and to avoid comparing ourselves to
others. We see how unique people are and that these similarities
and differences should not create division and discrimination.
Rather, as we acknowledge our similarities and differences, we
are led to take a purposeful role in the society that can contribute
to everyone’s wellness. We develop strengths that can
complement other’s weaknesses, and that should be our means
to develop other’s strengths as well. Healthy interrelationships
are built in better understanding of human individuality.
3. How will you inspire others to respect individual differences?
I think that everyone wants to be respected. I can inspire other by
letting them know and understand what respect is, and how it will
benefit all of. If I want to inspire others, I should show them with
my actions how to accept our differences. I will educate them that
no one is made to be perfect. Every single person has his or her
own unique personality. We can have a peaceful world if we can
all learn to accept diversity.
What I Have Learned
Share Your Thoughts and Feelings
If we don’t respect others, they will not respect us, and if we don’t respect ourselves, we will not be
respected by others. Receiving respect from others is important because it helps us to feel safe and to
express ourselves. Being respected by important people in our lives growing up teaches us how to be
respectful toward others. Respect means that you accept somebody for who they are, even when
they’re different from you or you don’t agree with them. Respect in your relationships builds feelings of
trust, safety, and wellbeing. Respect doesn’t have to come naturally; it is something you learn, often
from the adults in your life. The last time I struggled to give or show respect to others is when they like
to body shame or criticize others. Especially in social media, a lot of people likes to body shame others.
They criticize their body size and skin color, the food they eat, brand of clothes they wear and because of
their physical appearance. We should all learn to accept another person and not try to change them. It is
learning to accept diversity or tolerate, not discriminate, and avoid actions that may offend others.
If someone is being disrespectful or rude, responding with kindness can take them by surprise and
encourage them to rethink their behavior. Being calm after being disrespected is a power. You should not
vent out, rather, you stay calm, listen to the other party and after, talk to them and kindly ask them to be
more respectful and considerate when talking to someone. Managing disrespectful people is a delicate
process that takes time and understanding to master. Those who seek to anger us or hurt us can really
get under our skin and make it hard to stay cool, but that’s critical to walking away with wellbeing and
dignity in hand. If you’ve been disrespected by someone close to you, use techniques to manage their
disrespect the right way like Live a life above reproach. One way we earn the respect of others is by living
a life that is above reproach. By making ourselves an example of stability and exceptionalism, we can
actually create a barrier that protects us from the criticisms of others. Before you can demand the
respect of others, you have to demonstrate that you’re worth it yourself; something that can be done by
starting off with internal and external honesty. Be a person of your word, and strive to do what’s best for
you (and others) at all times. Once you respect yourself by living with integrity, you’ll gain the respect of
others.
