I can say that language has a great significance in our daily lives. Some may not
be confident in communicating their thought because they are afraid of judgment and
some are just oozing with confidence that people get shy around them for they know
that that person knows what they want to say. With the use of communicative
competence, we can improve our communicative skills.
Communicative competence defined as the ability to understand and use
language effectively to communicate in authentic social and school environments. This
has a great impact to my life not just as a student but also as an individual. It is what
makes us an effective communicator because it teaches us how to convey our thoughts
and emotions effectively. This also enables us to develop our vocabulary, understand
language conventions and sentence structures. It entails knowing how to engage in
conversations in appropriate and informative ways.
Communicative competence is important in higher education because language
functions to enable students/people to acquire knowledge and skills in the various
disciplines. It allows us to learn things easily. It also makes us great in explaining it
effectively to others because we've learn that thing with great comprehension.
Communicative competence makes our community closer for we can
communicate in a very effective manner. It brings us closer to one another in a way that

confident in having conversion with other people for we can understand them easily.
