II. BACKGROUND AND RATIONALE

In the post-synodal apostolic exhortation of Pope Francis Christus Vivit, he addresses

the important role of the Christian young people in the Church. The Holy Father further
encouraged the Church to make all our institutions better equipped to be more welcoming to
the young people. He wants us to be reminded that the youth always has a special place in the
Christian community.

The current health crisis that the world is incessantly facing is deeply inflicting
multiple shocks on young people. It is not only destroying their education and training but is
also disrupting their mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

This activity will be of great help in executing the Holy Father’s mandate for the
Church to accompany the young people in the local parish community the same way as she is
accompanied by the Blessed Mother Mary.

III. OBJECTIVES

This activity aims for its participants to:

a. Promote Parish Youth Empowerment through their involvement in this parish

activity
b. Enlighten them about their role as Youth of the Parish
c. Formation/Education of the participants
d. Prayer
IV. METHODOLOGY

This proposed activity will help empower the youth in the parish through the
preparation that has to be done in conducting the said event. They will be able to realize that
through their efforts, they are appreciated and not set aside. Through this occasion at the
same time, the parish youth will have a vision on what their role is in the Church and that is
to become an animator which can help the parish in bringing more colors to its programs and
projects. The participants during the activity will be able to craft an idea on how to initiate
more certain programs to strengthen and maintain their ministry. The importance of prayer
will be emphasized in the event in order for the youth to continue having a strong and firm
relationship with God and our Mother Mary.
