The word 'teach' arises

from the Old English tæcan

meaning “to show, point out, or demonstrate”
Teaching can be defined as engagement with learners to enable
their understanding and application of knowledge, concepts and
processes. Diba, when we are teaching someone, we instruct, we
point out or we demonstrate in order for them to absorb the
information, ideas and knowledge that we are teaching.

Profession it – requires – long time and extensive period of

training and study to acquire and master specialized
knowledge and skills.

Xxxx
Profession of teaching is based upon a specialization on a
certain field, teaching skills, and some certain personal
characteristics that the profession requires.

because teaching is a specialized application of knowledge,

skills, and attributes designed to provide unique service to meet
the educational needs of every individual.
Again, teaching is a noble profession, it is not just a normal job.
Because teaching as a profession is a commitment to human
lives because it also requires lots of sacrifices and efforts. When
you are a teacher, you are not just a teacher inside the class
room, but you are also a teacher inside your home, because
sometimes teacher takes home all the activities
In addition, teachers provide learning opportunities to
meet the curriculum outcomes, it also emphasizes the
development of the student’s values.

COMPETENCE
when we talk about competence, it would be about the skills
and the knowledge that the teacher should acquire so that he
or she may be able to make sure that he is successful in the
teaching and learning process.  I would like to Reiterate as
well that as a future teacher the first thing that we have to do
now is to make sure that you're fully equipped with the
knowledge and with the skills about your subject matter. and
later on, when you are in the field, you already know exactly
how to transfer these pieces of information to the students
that you have.
CODE OF ETHICS
So, the practitioners should behave responsibly | how
teachers act | how teachers behave | and in all other
professions there are codes of ethics that they also
have to follow | so that they may be considered um good
model or good example in their own fields of
specialization.

And if proven that a teacher does not follow all the

provisions under the code of ethics for professional
teachers then there are only two possibilities | weather
your certificate of registration will be suspended or your
license will be revoked and the revocation of license
under section 23 of the republic act of 7836 is actually
done not by the Philippine regulation commission but
the board of professional teachers

Other elements of professions are:

Initial Professional Education – That is why we are

studying 4 year course, because these years of learning
would prepare us to the greater mission that we will be
having as teachers in the future, that's why we must
have to complete a university or a college program. One
example is BSED.

Accreditation - another thing you also have to make

sure that the programs you are enrolled to, are
accredited by the commission on higher education. So,
the CHED supervises TEI while DEPED supervises the
basic education.

The next elements will be discussed by Mr. Aldin De

- to my fellow future educators, see how important your
words are. As teachers your influence cannot be stopped,
so you shape you mold the students to what they ought to
be or what they desire to be, you do not only feed the
hungry minds of the students. You are not only teaching
them about the specific subjects, you are also teaching
them how to live and how to be successful.
- I chose this course because I know this will help me to
improve my communication skills because I feel
nervous whenever I speak English when I know there’s
a lot of listeners. Although I am not that good in
speaking English, it’s my weakness that led to my
reason why I chose this course. I also want to become a
soldier one day po but I chose this course because I
want to become a teacher not because I want to share
the knowledge and skills that I got when I am studying,
I also want them to have a good attitude towards
everything and everyone. As a future teacher I will use
my influence because I believe when you’re a teacher
your influence cannot be stopped. So, I will mold the
learners to what they desire to be. I will not only be
teaching them about the specific subjects, I will use my
influence to teach them how to live and how to be
successful. Because these students will become a
successful one day because of us.
The general and role of a teacher is to teach their students. Then
motivate them and boost their confidence to take up things
which can help them in their life. Teachers should find different
ways to teach students and apply them in teaching so that the
maximum information and knowledge reaches the students.

The code of ethics are meant to guide teaches’ behavior and job
performance. The task of education is mainly to guide the total
growth and development of young people so that they will be
functional, competent, well- adjusted and sociable citizens of
their communities.
