1. Purpose
This application is developed to provide best travelling services to the customers and travel agents. We have
developed tours and travel management system to provide a search platform where a tourist can find their
tour places according to their choices. This system also helps to promote responsible and interesting tourism
so that people can enjoy their holidays at their favorable places. This system also helps to develop tourism
with different cultures so that they enrich the tourism experience and build pride. The document gives us
detailed description of both functional and non-functional requirements of the system.
1.1. Scope
Scope of the proposed system is to provide a platform where
● Allows user to browse tour packages of their choice
● Facility of pre booking hotels available
● Online payment system available
● Package reservation facility available
1.2. Overview
The main purpose of “Travel and Tourism management system” is to provide a convenient way for a
customer to book hotels, travel packages with different modes of transportation. The objective of this project
is to develop a system that automates the processes and activities of a travel agency. In this project, we will
make an easier task of searching places and for booking train, flight or bus.
This system also gives tours related information like which places are tourist attractions, cities, and provinces.
Tourist can also get the Map and navigation system and temperature and weather information. Tourist can
also book tours through our tours and travels management system. This system also keeps a history of visited
places of its users.
2. Overall Description
2.1. Product Perspective
The proposed system will be a application where our users will be able to browse travel destinations. Users
would be able to find all the necessary information regarding the destination. The main feature of the
system would be booking of the tour packages and hotels.
2.2. Product Functionality/Features
The system will have users such as:
● Customer
● Administrator
Major functionality of system will include:
● Book Travel/Tour packages.
● Search Locations and Hotels.
● Choosing Hotel-Room and Travel-Package type.
● Choose check-in and check-out as per customer choice.
● Details of different types of tours which includes tours like family tours, couple tours, general tours,
date and time of departure and the fair of the tours etc
● Virtual Tickets and Booking slips
● Seat reservation
● Timely Notification of their tour package activities.
● Online payment at the time of booking.
● Choosing the transportation way by which the customer will travel.
● Cancellation of package available subject to terms and condition.
● Customer care and user feedback form for complaints and suggestions.
2.3. User Characteristics
The users who will be using this system must have a login ID and password. Also the users must have
knowledge of the internet.
There will be three different users who will be using this system:
● Customer
● Administrator
2.4. Constraints
The product will be supported only by the below mentioned operating systems.

2.5. Assumptions and Dependencies
The proposed system needs an internet connection on the client side. It needs the following third-party
products on the server side:
