My place is in the heart of Lipa City. Living in a city, in Poblacion particularly is not even easy. Money,
food, shelter ,clothing and etc are necessary but not all people can afford. This project aims to promote
welfare and social responsibility in giving beggars ans street dwellers some rice and food to eat. This is to
help them satisfy their hunger and quench their thirst. A single grain of rice is essential if all people who are
capable will help and their will make a big difference to my community.
4. Project Duration:
-March 2021 – May 2021
Before February, a survey will be conducted to collect data on citizens' views on feeding program in
our barangay, as well as recommendations to further enhance the project's implementation. For the
presentation of the project to the barangay, 3 days are reserved. The project will be implemented every two
months beginning in march in the target area.
5. Objectives of the Project:
The goal of this project is to provide a well-being and to protect the health and environment of the
people living in the barangay. Also, help to include the residents in the awareness of zero hunger campaign.
There will be an interview for the people living in the barangay before the feeding program and giving of
food.
Status of their livelihood.
Promote safety of health
Gather data about the concerns and opinions to the current situation of the environment.
Participate in the zero-hunger campaign.
Gather data from citizens about the benefits of the project.
6. Project Description:
What is the project all about?
“A Grain to ease the Pain” is a campaign project that promotes awareness about poverty,
hunger and well-being environment. This helps every resident also to get some basic food and
nutrients they need.
What is to be learned in this community context?
We can achieve a safe and healthy atmosphere for the people with the support of the officials
of Barangay Poblacion 4, Lipa City.
7. Rationale:
How the Idea for the Project Developed
In my barangay, poverty and hunger are chronic. Family meals provide time for families to connect
and find out what is going on in everyone’s lives. Children who take part in regular family mealtimes have
more vocabulary growth and perform better academically than those who don’t, likely as a result of
engaging in more conversations with adults. In families with young children, eating together often results
in fewer behavior problems both inside and outside of the [Link] so much for children to gain, family
mealtimes are a great way to bond with the people you love while enjoying healthy food and good
conversations.
Student’s Current Knowledge and Skills and How the Project will Enrich Them
I was exposed to help other people since I was a kid. I became aware of the condition of people
in a particular area. It helped me comprehend that even though it doesn't directly benefit me, I should care.
The implementation of this project would encourage me and my barangay to promote poverty, hunger and
well-being environment for the health of the people living in the city and to start living a life starting in my
own barangay as a responsible citizen, so that I could apply it to our country.
Benefits of The Project to The Student’s Lifelong Skills
The real success of this project is not just promote awareness about poverty, hunger and well-
being environment. It is having cooperation and collaboration with the community, having awareness to the
things that matter, self-improvement, self-management, and improvement in communication skills that will
help me and my community in the future.
8. Methodologies:
A Grain to Ease the Pain will do the following activities:
Proposal to the barangay – If approved, I will introduce the project I want to implement to our
Barangay officials and ask for assistance in announcing the project. In order to remind the people
in our barangay about the project and that it is open for volunteers, it will be announced by getting
a speaker over a vehicle.
Interview/Survey to the citizens of the barangay – In order to collect data on what they think about
the current situation of our barangay
Social Media – I will post an announcement about the project with the help of social media. I will
call for volunteers to help promote the environment's protection and cleanliness.
